Default how to connect chat cable to xbox 1 controller

I purchased a 2013 mixamp pro a few months ago and I just recently purchased an xbox 1

the first thing I noticed is on teh xbox one controller where the chat cable plugs into microsoft has changed it from a its original 2.5mm / 3.5mm jack (whatever it was before) to some proprietary input. Do you guys sell a new chat cable that goes from the mixamp to the new xbox1 controller?

    Hi juzcallmegod,

Microsoft will be releasing an adapter in Q1 2014 or earlier which will allow you to connect Xbox 360 Headsets to the Xbox One Controller. Until then, you will be able to use the Kinect as the microphone through games.

awesome! I figured something would be done within time. I use your mixamp pro but I actually made my own custom headset im considering cutting up the crappy headset that was supplied with the xbox one and splicing it into my custom headset chat cable shouldn't be to hard.

    I'll give it a shot.

thank you for the quick response you guys have always had great customer support!

    Hi juzcallmegod,

There are a few guides on the internet that show you how to do it. Looks pretty easy and will allow you to use the full functionality of the MixAmp without having to wait for Microsoft to release an adapter.

Im sure I could find them fairly easy however would you be allowed to link it ? I'll definitely give it a shot once I find it.

I didn't have any trouble wiring a mic to a pair of audio technica's so I dont see why it would be much different.

Here's one which shows the complete method to stripping the included headset down and adding a 2.5mm connector as found on the Xbox 360 Controller.
