Mic Buzzing w/ Wired Controller
I've been having issues with my wired Xbox controller (Scuf). The following issues are...
Is there anyway I can fix this?
- Hearing buzzing, humming, hissing or ringing.
- Microphone shows that you’re speaking when you aren’t.
- Other players can’t hear what you’re saying (sometimes).
- Other players hear buzzing, ringing, hissing or humming.
My Headset: Astro A40 2013 Edition w/ Mixamp Pro
My Controller: Wired FPS Competition Scuf (bought it around September of 2012)
I've tried multiple headsets / wired controllers and they all commit the issues above. The issue doesn't occur with wireless controller, but I'd rather use my wired Scuf than a standard wireless controller (personally because of LAN events / no batteries).
There shouldn't be any compatibility issues between the 2013 Edition MixAmp Pro and the SCUF Controllers. Have you tried connecting the original Xbox LIVE Chat Headset into the controller to see if it functions correctly with the microphone?
Yes I've tried the default Xbox LIVE microphone with the wired Scuf controller and it emits the buzzing noise.

Apologies that we are unable to assist with this issue.
Switch the usb ports your controller is in. It happens to me a lot.
