Change A50 auto-poweroff

I do not yet own an A50, but was probably picking one up when I get paid this Friday. If it's going to shut off on me every 2 hours there's no way I'd buy one.

So, tell me, when exactly does the unit turn off? What triggers it to turn off or does it just turn off? Lately I'm not talking as much, so I hope that doesn't do it. I think if I'm at my computer 99% of the time there's sound running through it, though.

Hi, it doesn't turn off automatically when plugged in and charging (you can use it normally while charging). When the charging cord is disconnected it turns off automatically after approximately a 5 minute period of silence (ie; no games or music playing). I'm not totally sure about the mic, but I think it resets the 5 minute timer if you use the mic also. Once turned off it must be manually turned on again using the button on the headset. This gets irritating relatively quickly.

This has already been put to our engineering team for possible inclusion in the next firmware update, which will include customizable EQ settings.

BUMP. Come on Astro get this fixed it is driving me insane. Right now any gaming forum I frequent, which is a lot, where anyone is asking for recommendations for a quality headset be assured that I do not recommend these uncomfortable heavy headphones. Uncomfortable and heavy I can just about handle, but this excruciatingly loud BEEP that scares the crap out of me every 5 mins really needs a fix and a fix soon.

Just registered to throw my hat in the ring on this topic. Currently the ability to modify and disable the auto-off feature is at the top of my wishlist for my new A50s. Second on that list would be some sort of on-screen battery indicator, but this would be a distant second compared to the auto-off. Thanks.
