you will need to buy a usb hub for the ps3 to power the a50.

give me custom eq settings and a ps3 no power fix at Astro's expense. Not mine. I paid $325 + $25 usb hub. Astro Gaming owes me for essentially QA and Beta Testing their product.

If you have any other optical source you can test, try to see if you can get sound from other sound sources.

1) PS3 Audio Settings>Dolby 5.1< ticked only and leave DTS unticked = OFF
2) Make sure Optical Audio is set as primary Audio Out source and not HDMI in your PS3 Settings
3)Update A50 to latest...
