How do these settings work against dead silence? Like in a Search and Destroy scenario where everyone is being quiet.

I just finished trying it. Idk if it helped me much. I might have to get used to the sound of footsteps since it is very different from the regular cod4 and i'm not using dead silence cause I haven't gotten to lv 44. When you use dead silence you can hear enemies footsteps better because it muffles your footsteps. It doesn't help against other players with dead silence since it doesn't help much with people who crouch like the video says. I'm using the tr mixamp with senns 555 on ps4 by the way.

Very true if they have dead silence its not very useful. Trust me i made it the best possible way that i could. If there is a better preset kudos to whomever makes it.

Tested it out myself. If you crank up your mixamp it helps against dead silence if they aren't crouching. Either way it is a really nice build. Good job!

Do these presets apply to the new gen 3 A50's as well? I know nothing about EQs or how sound works. I assume since they both use Astro Command Center this will have the same effect on both headsets?

Hmm so I tested it out and it seems you weren't joking when you said "if they're walking you can't hear them". I thought you simply misspoke in the video. This definitely does make running footsteps louder, but for some reason you also can't hear walking footsteps. On the default settings I can hear walking footsteps much better. Why the trade-off? Isn't hearing walking footsteps just as, if not more, important?

I play hardcore tdm and hearing footsteps for me is as important as having a big tv. I've been dependent on that since COD4 and rainbow six vegas came out. I started with some trittons ax 360 which use real 5.1 but they broke easily. Then I moved to the original astros a40s. I'm using beastmode 2.0 for mwr and for me it has been the best preset for hearing footsteps. I actually forgot which order the presets were on my mixamp and I kept going back to BM2.0 without knowing it. I thought I was using this mwr preset. I found out it was BM2.0 some days later when I connected my mixamp to my pc. It was kinda funny.

First of all I would like to thank Polar ice for his awesome settings, they work great. Just to make things a little easier I have created the EQ using the settings supplied by Polar ice. Just download the file and place it into your preset library.

Did you try the MW setting for BF1? if so is it worth it? I know COD sound settings are different from BF sound settings. Please let me know, thanks

Is this still the best EQ for MWR footsteps? How is it for hearing plants/defuses/reloads/weapon switches?

I've been using this for IW, so far i like it better than your IW one. Have you compared the two?
