    Hi ASTRO Family!

We've received reports on the forums of microphones not working once updated to the latest Windows 10 OS 1803, also known as the Windows 10 April 2018 update. After some investigation, this either appears to be a bug in Windows or a privacy setting which you may have accidentally disabled during setup. Fortunately, it's an easy resolution which you can fix within a few minutes.

    1) Open Start and select Settings.

    2) Under Windows Settings, select on Privacy.

    3) On the left-hand side under the App permissions category, select Microphone.

    4) You will see two options for your microphone setting. Allow access to the microphone on this device and Allow apps to access your microphone. If these are turned off, turn them back on. Your microphone should now work fine.

If both of them are already switched on, then switch them both to off and then turn them back on. Your microphone should now work fine.

    5) Under Choose which apps can access your microphone, make sure any apps you can see here which you use are set to on.

If you still have any trouble with your ASTRO products, feel free to make a post on the forum, and we will try our hardest to troubleshoot you as quickly as possible. You can also contact our support team through https://www.astrogaming.com/support-landing.html.

    Thanks,
