    ☬ Ether Collection
This is going to be a growing collection of EQ presets that I will update slowly over time and add new ones.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All presets are tested using a variety of music tracks from soundcloud and spotify, frequency sine waves, games, audio samples from games, and different types of media. Some Dolbysurround testing is done on some "soundwhore" presets but not all.Tested on 50-65 percent volume on the Mixamp and with Dolby off for most presets. It is the users preference to have dolby on or off for these presets. Some presets may recommend to have dolby ON/OFF but it still comes down to your preference!
Let me know what type of presets you guys want to see in the comments I will add more and more presets over time. Stay tuned!
(IMPORTANT)- Presets are updated or even reworked often. Keep checking back and use the latest presets for the best experience!!

    Ethereal Core V3- (4/22/2018)- Bass: 4 Mids: 6.5 Highs: 6.6
    ● The first preset in the collection. This preset offers an overall balanced sound with focus on mainly the mids and with some emphasis also on the highs. It is a great preset that will work well for any game and will let you hear small audio cues and footsteps very well. Bass is not too high and not too low so explosions and immersion is still prevalent in game. Reccommended for Dolby On/Off

    RainV2- (4/24/2018)- Bass: 6.3 Mids: 5.5 Highs: 5
    ● A deep, warm, and immersive sound with a wide frequency range allowing sound to sound more "open". Low end is emphasised very well to add depth and immersion. Mids and highs are still loud but not overly exaggerated. Overall a crisp sounding EQ that lets you enjoy whatever you are listening to, a bit more . This preset is great for especially media, music, movies, or cinematic games. Reccomended for Dolby OFF.

    xTremorV2- (4/25/2018)- Bass: 10 Mids: 3.4 Highs: 4
    ● Head- Crushing, earth shattering bass made for people that REALLY enjoy bass. Imagine 6 10" subwoofers all playing at once into your ears. Designed specifically for rap, EDM, and pop music. Mids and highs are balanced but bass is hammered down. Use with caution. Reccomeded for Dolby OFF.

    VertexV2 - (4/27/2018)- Bass: 3.2 Mids: 9 Highs: 7.6
EQ made specifically for gaming. Treat this as an amplifier EQ, amping up essential game sounds like gunshots, footsteps etc. Low amount of bass and very loud and sharp mids and highs. Made for aggressive, competitive, try-hard gaming sessions when you need to pinpoint every sound and detail especially footsteps and gunfire. Recommended for Dolby ON.

    Ether Kit- (4/27/2018)- Bass: N/A Mids: N/A Highs: N/A
A completely flat EQ with all the essential frequencies you need to create your own gaming EQ. This is not a preset. It is for you to tweak and adjust to create the best gaming EQ tailored to your audio preferences! Reccomended for dolby ON/OFF

    EclipseV2- (5/4/2018) - Bass: 6.4 Mids: 6.7 Highs: 6.4
Clear, and pure sounding EQ tuned for music, media, or casual gaming. Balanced soundstage with highlights on vocals, main instruments, snares, and kicks. Low end is full and adds smoothness to rest of soundstage with minimal mud. Reccomended for Dolby ON/OFF (Depending on what you are listening to)

    Ember- (5/14/2018) - Bass: 2.5 Mids:7 Highs: 6.4
Very open soundstage, soundwhore preset. Treat this as an alternative to VertexV2. Focus on ambient noises, footsteps, rain, etc. Very little bass and natural sound. Made for precise and clear audio representation for competitive sessions or cinematic/ non competitive games. Reccomended for Dolby ON

    Oculus-(9/11/2018)- Bass:4.3 Mids:5.6 Highs:5.5
    ● Fully universal preset that provides a full rich sound with a gentle slap of bass that works well with anything you listen too. Reccomended for Dolby ON/OFF

All feedback is highly appreciated. Let me know what other type of presets you guys want to see. I'm always ready to add new things and update these presets so you get the most out of your Mixamp.

    -Bandwidth Tutorial-

Bandwidth or xCF is like a curve. CFs are center frequencies. Increasing the bandwidth will narrow the curve of frequencies the dB boost is being applied to. The center of this curve is the CF. Lowering the bandwidth will widen the curve of the frequencies being affected. If you want to highlight a CF more and want the dB boost/cut to be centered more towards the CF, then increase the bandwidth. A bandwidth of 1.7 provides a natural sound. Increasing it too much may cause cut ins/ drop ins of frequencies.

What's your reasoning behind highlighting CF 2682Hz if I may ask? And anything below 8400Hz is still Mid, so nothing in the Highs has been highlighted.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I did a bit more testing with the preset and it does sound like the highs are lacking, at the time I felt that 2682 hz was most of the mid ranges of the sound and that it needed to be highlighted for some reason. I did a lot more testing and I will update the preset soon with a reworked EQ that highlights the mids and highs better.

Tested your ECv3 and Rain and they sound better than some of the others on the forum, more full for sure. I still prefer Zalia's current version of Pure Audio for music though which is how I tested this. It just has a more full audio profile and sounds very much like my speakers running through my receiver. Zalia is still the gold standard imo, good work though overall. I have to test for gaming later on, prolly will compare ECv3 and Vertex with Zalia's T1v2 which is my current go to for gaming, especially when I want to hear footsteps and such without making everything else sound like garbage.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I will plan on making an EQ dedicated to listening to music. Rain is more dedicated to cinematic games or movie watching. I might release an update for rain later on though.

    Hello!

I gotta say I prefer your presets over any of the other ones on these forums. You're doing an incredible job. My question is, what headset/headphones are you using to create and test these presets.

    Thank you!

I’m actually using hyper x clouda alphas with the mixamp. They are such a good affordable combo with the mixamp pro

I seen that you mentioned you had those earlier on the ZaliaS thread but got mildly chewed out for it lol. I was just curious if that is what you used to create and test. I use the Alphas as well.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

Lol I do use those for creating these presets. I don’t think it will have a huge difference for people that use a40s.

Tried Crystalite and it does exactly what you said it would so you seem to have a good handle on things. I don't care for it as much as PureAudio from Zalia. It sounds good but it pushes the bass to far into the back of the soundstage to the point it sounds muffled imo. It also makes some voices sound muffled as a consequence. In a song where bass is prominent the muffling effect is very noticeable. A good example of a song that causes the vocals to be muffled is No Need To Argue, The Cranberries, 1994. It causes the main vocalist, Dolores O'riordan, to sound somewhat muffled though not as much as the bass. The muffled effect is not present in the entire song or all songs but she is irish and sings with her accent. During certain vocals as a result when she comes across as somewhat muffled.

In other songs vocals are not as full. This is with Dolby on or off. You can tell the difference if you swap between PureAudio and Crystalite, PA being my sort of benchmark to test against. My 2 cents. This is using A50 Gen3 with the mod kit for full closed back.

    Hi Deplorable.
I havent tested crystalite with No Need To Argue yet. But i will test it later. When I was testing the preset I did notice that the mids were a bit too "muddy" or "Loud". So are you saying that the bass makes the voices muffled or the mid range itself is muffled? Small variables such as the fact that you are using a different headset than me and are using the modkit will come into play, but I will do more testing mainly on music and possibly release a rework or update on crystalite as soon as possible
    Thanks for the feedback.

Ok, just tested with No Need To Argue and it is a great song btw. I definitely noticed that Dolores' vocals were a bit more muffled on crystalite when i compared it to PureAudio. Im currently doing more testing and will release an update soon.
