1st Gen Astro A50 volume scroll is driving me crazy

    Hi everyone I've had my Astros since 2013 2 A50s headset and BOTH have the same issue today

    The volume scroll wheel works to lower volume but to increase right now is a pain you can spend a whole min trying to make it work, my wife does not want to use hers anymore cuz of this.

    I try from time to time and open the Headset and inside there is a small board connected to the motherboard through a flex cable, on top of it there is a small mechanism with a hole that I clean using isopropyl alcohol and it solves the problem but only for a few weeks maybe 2 or 3 months tops.
    Then starts to lower and increase volume like crazy with just a small scratch of the volume control wheel.

    Please guys is there any way that I can replace that small board maybe astro provide parts Idk

    As you have opened your equipment, you would have voided any warranty and possibly any future repair or replacements. At this time, I can only recommend to contact our support team through http://www.astrogaming.com/support-landing/support-landing.html and explain the problem you are experencing. We may be able to bring your equipment in for repair if we believe it can be resolved and will also pass you a price. Otherwise, you will need to replace your A50 Wireless Headset with a new one to resolve any problems.

    Hello Mitchell and thanks for your quick reply

    I was not hoping for anything free Actually I know I'm out of warranty already in fact this problem started about a month after my warranty expired.
    What I was hoping for is the actual part because I know how to fix the issue as I already know the source of the problem but I need a new part that would last at least a year on me.
    ( what I'm trying to say is I want a part replaced not repaired :D)

    This is indeed a factory defect since my both headsets purchased at the same time experience the same issue and they are used the same amount of time (2-4hours a day)

    If you guys can sell me that small board I would gladly pay for it don't need warranty on the part either as long as it's new I'm ok with it.

    This would be down to our support team if they can send the part out to you or provide a service to bring your equipment in to fit it. I unfortunately can't provide that information over the forums for you.

    I have the same problem and they will not sell me the part, I call bs on this. Out of warranty, just sell me the part.
    I actually bought another pair of A50 but next time I will reconsider due to the fact they just want to sell you new product and you cant buy parts.
