Really would like to see a new Mic Cord design. Already went through about 6 and really getting sick of it. They don't last at all and don't know why. Would like to see something new where they just don't stop working out of the blue for no reason.
Im sure they are figuring out something now or may already have a new design.
The wiring inside the cord are very small and fragile, so yanking of the cable (which causes the problem), or accidentally pulling the cable out, can cause them to break easily.
weird. ive had mine for i think a year and a couple of months now... havent broken any cords, including the invincible tank toslink cable lol.

Yea, I'm constantly worried about my 2.5 mm cable crapping out. It just seems cheaper than the rest of the product, and it is kinda volitile =/
Izzy you're either very careful or a lucky son of a gun lol
PS
-Izzy I haven't gotten around to doing anything clan or GB based yet, most of the people who expressed interest have yet to be in touch with me so I've been playing a lot with friends who are on break from school.

i totally agree i have just bought my astros two days ago and already my mic wire has broken.
The problem is that every time someone talks to me they hear a large echo. Can someone help me with this because. It is also very frustrating that you also cant buy new mic cords. so if you have some tips or know where i can buy new mic cords please tell.
Thank you.

Maybe even make a cord that has little plastic peice that go into the mic slot so you dont see things like tape. also allowing the cord not to move and make those annoying crackle noise i know we all hate.

When you say you emailed them, do you mean you filled out a message to the Support Team here? It's odd that you haven't gotten a response yet. If you can PM me your Support Ticket (http://www.astrogaming.com/support/), I'll try and see what's going on. Also be sure to check your spam filter in your email box.
Typically things like the 2.5mm to 2.5mm communication cable can be replaced under your warranty (and sometimes even when you're out of your 1 year warranty). Just be sure to follow through with the Support Team regarding their steps to see what the problem with your system may be.
