I bought an Astro System over eBay, but now I am no longer able to speak through Xbox live. I am guessing it is the 2.5mm Xbox Mic cable because I plugged the headset into my computer and was able to speak fine. I still hear people and game and can still hear my own voice so I know it's not the mic.
But my concern is, if the system no longer has a warranty will I still be able to get a new 2.5 mm Mixamp- Controller cable ? If I can how much will it cost? What do I do if I cant??

VexXel, your name seems so familiar. I swear I've seen it on twitter recently, lol.
Anyways, to your question. It does sound like it's the 2.5mm cable. Only Astro's cable will work for this connection. They've been known to replace these, sometimes even out of warranty. It's best to send them an email through their Support Page (http://www.astrogaming.com/support/). They'll probably ask you for the UPC, which can be found under the battery cover on your MixAmp.

I sent in a support ticket and was asked for the original sender to send an email transferring the warranty to me. I told the seller and he did so, so now I am awaiting the reply from Walter. I hope they can replace the cable. And you probably remember my name from the time you helped me with the custom speaker tags :P
