Well after being on Twitter for over a year, I'm trying to decide to get a little bit more tech savvy. After seeing some great Twitter backgrounds on the net (even just @Astrogaming (http://www.twitter.com/astrogaming)'s is great), I decided to verge out and use some of my old design kills to make myself a new Twitter background. I incorporated the same logo I used on my speaker tags (the Phoenix symbol with the star), along with some other typography elements to it.

Let me know what ya think: Warblade's Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/randallw).

You asked for it.

Things I like:

- Nice background, works surprisingly well with the logo (is that a photo that you took?)
- Logo is pretty bad-ass too
- Good layout of the text
- Great color choices, nice contrast

Things can be improved:

- The bit about thanking people to follow you and other websites, it's already understood and can take away the focus from the rest of the text
- The blue text under your name could be a bit brighter of a blue to help stand out against the background
- Lower bubble, "PC Clan .:" could be nudged a few pixels lower so the distance from the text and the corner matches the top bubble
- The "Warblade23" in the background can distract from reading the text and links, I think sticking with the Warblade title is strong enough

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback Stan. I came to some of the same conclusions as you. I probably will take out the "welcome, thanks" text, as it should just be more of an information/contact section, and it gives a little bit more wiggle room for font size (it appears pretty small and can be difficult to read on a 1280 x 800 desktop). I thought about something going up the side vertically just for a little design, but granted it is harder to make out since it was overlayed by both the box and other information.

The colors were complimentary colors already in illustrator. =P Gotta love the quicker steps like that.

Stanimal said everything that could be said. Either way the background is nice.

I have also followed your Twitter ;)
