What's up guys. This have been discused in other forums but it always goes off topic for some reason, and you can never really find a good answer. That's why I trust you guys(the pros). So I wanna hear everybodys opinions on this matter. So the first thing is controllers cinse audio is a no brainer. Lag=failure and a lot of times wireless headsets and even some wired systems have a redunkulous(lol) amount of lag. So what do you guys think? xbox360 wired or wireless controller? What are you using right now? Also I modded a few controllers; both for rapidfire and LEDs and s combination of both; and I notice there is a lag there, that I can feel. I use my controller stock but what do you guys think maybe there is a lost in power and that's why the heavy lag on them, but I have notice a lag in mine too, under heavy use and multiple inputs at the same time. So thats why I'm going wired but let me know what you guys think.

Use a wired controller, they are inexpensive and have better performance than wireless controllers.

Forget the rapid fire stuff, play legit.

if you really have to look into XCM equipment or parts from www.llamma.com.

always play legit. yep i agree and i do but i did this mods for a couple of my friends and they are complaning about it. thats why i took my nephews for a ride and yep there is lag. so i`ll get a wired controller and i will give mine to my nephew to replace his modded controller wich i will be putting in ebay for sell. he is gonna be mad cuz he loves the LEDs. oh well, lag and nice LEDs or better performance. is his choice.(i think he is gonna go for the LEDs. he is 10). lol oh well whatever makes him happy.:)

I've used only wireless controllers so far, but a few of my buddies swear by wired controllers because of the input lag. I still haven't seen any concrete evidence that this lag exists, other than their word of mouth, so I kind of think of it as a gaming urban legend or a placebo effect. =P

How easy is it to say, "Yeah, we'll I died cause of wireless controller lag. I totally woulda killed him otherwise!" LOL.

In any case, the big reason for wired controllers is that they won't compete with each other over bandwith/wireless channels in a tournament environment like wireless controllers will.

I don't think bluetooth connections have this problem, so it makes me wonder if that's the way the next gen consoles are going.

There is no lag between the Wired/Wireless Controllers. They both perform the same and at the same speed.

People use to moan that when you use a Plug and Play into a Wireless Controller, why doesn't it use the wire to send and recieve the information. Microsoft replied with "Because Wireless and Wired perform at the same level"

"I would answer this question by turning it around: what advantage do you get from transferring information over the cable versus wirelessly? Having the cable plugged in means you are close enough that you are not out of range. The response times are the same. The data is not any more reliable."

I have to agree with this post just based on the fact that I notice no difference in wired versus wireless (I own both) UNTIL, the battery pack/batteries get extremely low on the wireless controller. Then, you have some occasional lag.

But I keep two batteries on charge at all times, and keep them rotating.

Yeah so I guess the answer is what I was already suspecting. The lag might be due to power and not to data transfer rates. That would xplain the lag on the modded controllers and my regular controller too cinse batteries are always low. Thank you guys for clarify this for me I guess I was right all along. But I'm getting my wired controller anyways so I don't have yo deal with the batteries no more. I can't wait for the onza. Or what's that deal with the Astro controller? Lol I would love that.

Well Astro Studios sort of designed the Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller so I don't know if Astro Gaming would replace that. Although I think that Razer + Astro = <3
