Now this was announced ages ago, but thought that most have not seen it so why not post it. Also this is a long read so enjoy.

So I have seen some asking Astro Gaming to make a controller and by the looks of it, may or may not be in the works. But until then we have Razor to thank.

Razor announced on Wednesday at CES 2010 that they have made a new Controller called the Onza which is another name for Jaguar, of course knowing Razor for its PC Gaming Equipment, this will be the controller to use.

The Razor Onza features a new layout compared to the normal Xbox 360 Controllers. Firstly they have made the Analog Sticks adjustable meaning there is no need for add-ons which raises them. They have moved the Back and Start to the Bottom of the controller, well I guess for looks, they have made the D-Pad Buttoned so it will be easier to hit the direction of the D-Pad and they have added a nice green glow round the edges, made all of the Xbox Guide Button glow and added glowing directions on the D-Pad.

They also added there "Hyperesponsive Technology" which makes all the buttons, triggers and sticks well Hyper Responsive and almost Lag Free.

It does include a Mic Port in the same place (But the Picture is too light) but because the controller is Wired, may have the bug of all Wired USB Controllers but I hope Razor actually fixes this.

Razer has also added a multi-function button (MFB) that can be mapped to act as one of the action buttons, the analog stick buttons or an auto-fire button by using a sliding selector switch on the bottom of the controller. It does not say if you can attach it to the triggers so Rapid Fire is out but I cannot see Microsoft approving a Rapid Fire Controller.

It will sell for
- USA - $49.99
- Europe and Ireland - £44.99

They also announced a 5.1 Headset for the Xbox 360 which is on the Official Page which includes a (Direct from the Page Quote)
" A Daisy-Chain solution allows multiple Razer base stations to be connected to create a direct, private communication channel for in-game team conversations. "

Complete copy of the Astros :D. Post what you think and will you purchase one?

I am actually stoked about this headset. Dont get me wrong i love my Astros but have never used them for my computer, because it would be too much of a hasle to change from xbox to computer all the time.

Ive used a razor mouse for my PC gaming and have loved their equiptment ever since. I usually ended up buying a new mouse every few months, until i got theirs.

As for the headset i hope it will be awesome. I know that they have had a headset before but it was never this great. My brother should be getting it for the xbox so i will most def be trying it out.

I'm on the fence about buying one of their controllers. Mostly because i really hate change. Well change when it comes to using a new piece equiptment. But, im going to break down and get one.

Based on word of mouth their 360 controller looks to feel AMAZING in your hands. I might replace my launch 360 controller with one if its that good.

That looks sick! I mean they both do. I don't know about replacing my A40s, but I'll definitely pick up one of the controllers.

i use the laze mouse and its quality i bet the controller will be as sick. even if it will just last a while i hate how the stock xbox controllers crap out after a month or two of gaming.

Yeah, I'll be picking up one of these controllers once it's available. I'm thinking they probably won't be MLG sanctioned though, because it has that Rapid Fire button. I'm almost thinking that won't make it to the production of this Razer Onza though, since they're trying to market it as a tournament grade controller. But if MLG disallows it for use in their tournaments, that takes out most of their market.

Oh, and the sad thing is that I read it won't be available until Q3 of 2010. So possibly for a Fall release (Unless they run on a July-June Fiscal year...)

I got 2 of these, one for me and one for a frienda birthday, wile the controller has great points such as very responsive buttons and amazing analogue sticks they feel cheap and rattle like crazy, activating the left and right stick buttons is nei impossible,
However the no slow treatment is amazing even if the sticks feel too long,

It's a shame iv been following these since they were announced ages ago, and I own several razer mice and keyboards and I'm thrilled to bits with them, sadly their 1st foray into console periphs has let me down!

Come on Astro hurry up and release a controller to match your headsets and mixamp,

Or can anybody recommend a good controller supplier who will ship to the uk, proffered no slow and a personalized design would be preferred id be grateful for the info as no slow is my enemy lol

I had to use an awful Mad Catz controller for a few weeks a couple months ago, so I'm used to joysticks that are difficult to press. I hope they wear in on the Onza though.

Ditto, the only time they are really difficult for me to press is when the tension is turned all the way up and or when the stick is in a very forward position. No rattling to be had on my end and I must say the QD has already saved my Xbox a couple times! My only major qualm right now is the button lights are a bit bright and I would love to have control over their brightness and the Xbox logo-on/off button is just a cheap bubble sticker... I mean really Razer!? I spent most of my weekend writing a couple papers and got to play very little, hoping to crank out some more PT for a full on review here this week.

Finally got mines in the mail.played with it for a few days.I really like it feel way better than the PS3 controller. With my crossbattle and the onza its a perfect match.I just need to get use to with the Xbox style of the controller. It is only the standard edition but i really like it.Worth the money and time waited for it.Plus the Fps Freeks fits on it but us too long for me.The stick are perfect height though like i do have it on.

Afraid so, I was like an exited child waiting for my new controllers, plus what began as an Xmas gift for a friend turned into a birthday gift due to consistent delays, then I see numerous video reviews and was even more exited,
But they came and boy did they dissapoint, my friend kept his and is now becoming slightly accustomed to it, but almost a month to adapt to a controller! Come on.
The mfb buttons are in an unnatural position, underneath would have been better, I dont mind longer sticks but hitting either stick button especially left (sprint) whilst tilted forward is impossible and gets u killed no end of times, the controller felt cheap and rattled like crazy, all in all a good effort especially the no slow treatment, not sure if i liked the buttons or not, but the mfb buttons were in effect useless to me, also depending on hand positioning I found myself inadvertently throwing random grenades etc.as the rb and lb stick out a little too far!
Please astrogaming hear my call lol, consult your pro's and casuals and design a controller with no slow etc to rival the onzas. I'll be the 1st to pre order
