I'm strongly considering going to MLG Orlando. I've never been to an MLG event, and why not go to one in Orlando? If everything works out, hopefully I'll be able to make it.

Convincing a parent / friend to join you for a day or two in Disney world works great as a bonus! Most students are still on winter break, so it'll be a great opportunity to check everything out without having to rush home for a lot of people.

I always try to spend a day or two with Don and Mickey, and if not, hit up Universal or Islands of Adventure.

Hope you make it out!

Seeing as I live in Orlando(UCF), I'm totally going. Last year and 07 were both amazing- Orlando is honestly my favorite city in Florida.

Made it out to Anaheim, was lots of fun.. but err.. a $1300 plane ticket there.. wonder how much it would be to Orlando? I live in Yukon, Canada... beside Alaska.. :p

Holy crap! That's a pricey plane ticket! I just checked flights, and it's about the same price for you to fly to Orlando.

Haha, thank you! :) And yes it is, but it was worth it! Apparently there were some people complaining about $150 tickets? I shoulda told em' about mine.. lol.

*Edit* Hell, if my plane ticket was $150 and I lived in like the middle of the United States or something, or even like $300-$600 I would've been to every MLG event yet!:P

Haha, yeah! I know what you mean!

My plane to Anaheim was around $300, so it wasn't that bad. Were you a spectator or did you play? I probably saw you!! lol

I was a spectator, I walked around a lot:P Friend was mostly at the WoW stations -_-

*EDIT* Though I'm only 16, so I don't really have any use for money anyways.. ;D

Haha, WoW isn't exactly my game. I go to MLG for Halo! I won't have enough money for another event though. So I'll have to skip Orlando. =(

My car crapped out on me, so I need to get a new one.

Yes, I do as well, for Halo that is. I probably didn't see you but I did wear my Anaheim shirt saying DBAKERR on the back ;D I'll probably have to skip Orlando as well, do you know what the next event will be? Hopefully it's somewhere closer to the border of Canada.. ahah:p

im glad the tournament are different are vary depending on the year but i want more west coast tournaments. the last 2 years ive traveled to las vegas from utah for the championship. the venue is smaller, not a ton of people playing behind the mainstage, just 5 or 6 tables really then the mainstage.

i want to see a full blown massive event with everybody and their mother playing for a weekend

DBakerr

So, unfortunately, I believe I won't be going to Orlando, but I should be going to the 1st event of next year!

Who else will be coming? -Perhaps I will see you there?

either way if you have parents consent you can go if they accompany you and act as a guardian.

Yep, that's right. Lil Poison was like... super young when he was playing. Must have been around 8 or 9. Just make sure you have those parental forms signed! You can get them off of the mlgpro.com website.

Lol back on pistola, if you look at some early H:CE and some H2 screenshots, you can see him. He looks really young, maybe not even a teen yet. Just letting people know!

I love it at the stores in our area. Even if you are rightfully one of the first in line, everyone just glares at you like you shouldnt be there. I especially loved last year when I got a digital camera on sale at KMart. Got the last one, and everybody flipped. Then, the 2GB SD cards were on sale for like 12, I think. I had to make several attempts at getting over to their location because it was a popular spot for the elderly to hang out for some reason.
