You do know thats how technology works right? You should of looked into or waited until 2011.

OR just stick with the 2010 one and get the 2012 one.... its no problem missing one year, you cant always be ahead of technology

If you've been ****ty over a mic and ear cups the rest of your life is going to be pretty hard. Obviously you are happy with the current set up though since you didn't return them, I'm just sayin.....:) Just buy the upgrade when/if your ear pads and mic go bad, but chances are by the time that happens they'll have something new and then you'll complain over buying replacement parts instead of spending the $20 on a "newer, better" headset.

I don't intend to be rude and add to others rants, but that's how life is sometimes. You never know when the "next" thing or upgrade is going to come out (take for example cars. Hell, you pay 100 times more for an Acura TL than the A40 Headsets. When a newer version comes out, should I be able to return it and get the new one completely free?).
The good news is, there's an upgrade kit, which will run a simple $19.95. We could have been jerks and never had an upgrade kit, and only had the new ear pads and mic with the purchase of a full headset, but then we wouldn't be able to show our <3 for you guys. =) (Also, the $19.95 price is exceptional, considering the regular replacement mic is $19.95, and the regular ear pad replacements are $19.95. You're getting both of those, in the new style, for the price of one).

i always tend to wait a bit when i want to get something new, usually it pays off. besides i don't need the latest equipment as i play mostly mmorpg (http://browsergames.co.uk/) like darkorbit which don't need that much ressources.
