I was messing around, and while this trick isn't much for purist I doubt most of you are. It really brings a new form of life to your music collection ;) This will mix stereo audio.
Requirements:
Foobar 2000
Channel Mixer Plugin - http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29985
Asio Plugin - http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_out_asio
optional by prefference: A sound card with built in ASIO support.

Load plugins in this order, this guide is made with creative cards in mind.

Step 1:
Load the built in Resampler Plugin and set it to 48000hz (don't use Hyper Mode)

This step is needed by most sound cards with built in ASIO. In order to use ASIO on creative cards you MUST be in audio creation mode. In this situation we are just using Asio to properly spit audio out over 5 "speakers" but it also has the advantage of skipping the Windows Sound Layer in Vista and the terrible mixer in XP.

Step 2:
Load the Channel Mixer
For the following steps and settings just follow the image ;) After your done just enable the Dolby headphone setting on your mixamp and viola. It sounds quite good, MUCH better than just enabling it directly.
I know this is quite al imited guide, Auzentech ASIO = Creative ASIO. If your using another kind sound card or one that doesn't support ASIO there are ways but your on your own in terms of figuring it out ;)

Channel Mixer settings and inspiration from Graphicism on Head-Fi forums.

Personally I prefer the purity but it does work better than most other solutions I have tried.

Basically, this turns the MixAmp into a poor man's Dac/Amp stack? How does it sound? This is nice, as I've just started getting into audio and have re-ripped all of my CDs into 320kbps MP3s (didn't do FLAC because of iPod and PS3). Now, I listen to them with my AKG K240 Studio headset, and was looking forward to getting a pair of Beyerdynamics DT880s or AKG K702 in the future. I was looking at an iBasso Cobra... but wanted to try the MixAmp for a bit first.
