ok i just registered on the astro site and dont no about this. so my dad is not very xbox/computer savi and i just got the astros and no mixmp is there any way i can still connect o my xbox and use it with the mic. also i there is no way is there any way i can send back my astros and get the amp with it isent it cheaper

You only ordered the headset? If so, then you're out of luck. The Mixamp is the centerpiece of the system. It is the piece that comes with the cables to connect your headset to voice comms and game sound at the same time, while providing Dolby Digital sound.

I'd suggest you order the Mixamp, as without it, the headset can't really do anything substantial.

Yeah, but only if you want to use it with your Xbox, which I'm sure you ordered it for just that reason.
