I pushed in the tabs for the batteries slightly b4 I put the pack in and the screw went in fine. Hope that helps.

I tried that and still no luck. I dont think the threads on the skrew are catching.

Just make sure the battery pack is in there all the way and facing the riight way and cetered should be ok i had no issue other then getting the battery pack itself in the mixamp.

The same thing is happening to me. I just took off the cover to get my serial number, so I could register it. Now I can't put the cover back on. The screw just turns and turns, but the threads aren't catching anything.

It's not a huge deal I guess. I'm not using batteries or anything, so nothing is gonna fall out. It just seems really ghetto.

Same problem here. It is a manufacturing problem. Even with no batteries in it at all the Battery Cover screw does not thread up.

I just got my a40's and mixamp in the mail yesterday and I am having the exact same problem. I have tried the remedies offered on this thread but to no avail. Even if I take the battery pack completely out, the screw still won't catch at all. It's like it's not even reaching the hole.
Don't get me wrong, I love, love, love the headphones. The sound and design are amazing. My husband and I were so impressed that we are already saving up for another set because it's torturous to only have one when you have 2 gamers in the house. Certainly can't go back to a standard headset after you've been introduced to these.
But honestly, after spending over $300 on the whole package, you expect the screws to screw in.
Any other suggestions?

I think maybe it would be better to just post a public solution instead of having each and every one of us contact support?

ok now im worried when i get mines in after feb 12th or sooner lol. I mean i bet the headset is off the chains but now that i hear about the opitical cable being loose sometimes and now the screws? Don't get me wrong i know im getting my moneys worth after all the reviews i read but these little things can get real annoying. I suggest Astro to fix these small things because people would like to get there money or earnings worth it =)

The solution to use the Support Team is used because it's how these problems get taken care of. It is always the case of Astrogaming to provide quality equipment to the customer. With using the Support Team, each message is assigned a ticket number, which can be referred back to in a database at the office. The tickets are there so that each request can be taken care of, and if it's not, then there's documentation of what went on, or where the ball was dropped.

just a suggestion but maybe you could try a long screw of the same size diameter
