So on tonights game night an interesting topic came up...
Which is better High School or College?
In my opinion, I think College is better.
I HATED high school, I slept through it and hated my teachers, and the classes weren't very challenging either.
I always scored high on tests, so the academics of it wasn't what I didn't like. It was mostly the environment of it I suppose.
I started Boise State about a week ago and LOVE it. I enjoy the teachers, and am enjoying the courses so far.
Everyone on campus is really friendly and seems to be enjoying it as well.
For anyone who wants to know, I haven't decided a Major but am leaning for Engineering or Computer Sciences.
I dont really care what degree I get, but I do want to join the Military after I graduate.
When I get my degree and join the service, I will be enlisted as an officer, I can then start training to be a Pilot, which has been a lifelong dream.
So whats your opinion on this?

Join a sorority.
I thought high school had lots of parties but college was amazing with all the parties. Teachers were more laid back. Student body was friendlier just like you said. I started with my computer courses when most people were like "What's a computer". College made me the person I am now.
I've been thinking about going back and get certified as an ISF certified technician since I like HDTV's so much. It would be just something I would do on the side.

I have to say college is better. Still in college and enjoying it more than I did high school. With high school it's the same people you knew in junior high, just a different school and some of the most boring classes. Hell I slept through my chemistry class every day and managed to get the highest score on quizzes and tests.

I actually enjoy science, hell I scored a near perfect score for science on my GED :p
I got a 650/700 on it, but the GED's aren't exactly challenging :/
Well see what I end up getting on Biology this semester.

I kind of doubt anyone who attended a (real) college is ever going to vote for High School....

Universities contain multiple colleges within them. For example: my major puts me in the College of Arts and Sciences but I'm at the University of South Carolina.
Anyways you definitely have a lot more free time in college compared to high school. My Internet at my dorm would be awesome but it's strict NAT, which is :(. Otherwise I get ~20MBps download and ~13MBps upload depending on the time of day.

I've been in University now for 5 or so months and i've been liking it a lot. I chose to live off campus because Res life doesn't appeal to me. I somewhat regret that decision because I see now that you make a lot of close friends on campus and I would have liked that.
I'm taking Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. I haven't chosen which type to branch off into, but i'm leaning towards Geomatics or Civil.

I would definitely have to say college. I HATED high school...either slept in my classes or played tetris and still pulled off high scores. I did like my teachers though...but the student body was an entirely different matter. Then I get to college and had a ton of fun. Didn't party though...I spent quite a bit of my free time either exploring the city I was in, playing games, or pulling pranks on people (which usually ended with me getting beaten the crap out of). Classes and teachers were awesome too, most of them were real laid back and easy to talk to about anything.
Only gripe I had about college was the fact that I had a ton of bad roomies. Lived in the dorms the entire time I was at college and I've had maybe 1-2 roomies that the school picked out for me that were okay. Long story short, last roomie I got was literally psycho and started stalking my friends out of the blue, so I started living in singles after that...and all of us taking precautions to avoiding that particular roomie too.

Anything is better than an all boys Catholic high school when you don't believe in it and they're trying to ram it down your throat :(

Wel im going to guess that considering almost everyone i talk to wants to be a fighter pilot that wants to join the military; and since he didn't specify, illl go with that he wants to join the airforce (you proably don't care but ill throw this in too, i want to be a halo jumper:D).

nah Im too tall to fly fighters.
I want to join the Airforce of Army and fly heavier craft like the C5 or C-130.
Im not picky on the plane I want to fly, but would rather be flying F-22 Raptors or A-10 Warthogs :p
They station the Warthogs out here in Boise too. I love to hear them do training drills above our house.
