Its not the same. The headset is seperate to the mixamps. If you want the Mixamp 5.8 and your Astro A40's as a set, then you need to purchase one of the wireless systems which can be found here (http://www.astrogaming.com/products/30/Wireless-Systems/)

Alternatively you can purchase each part separately (which means you would need to buy the Headset (http://www.astrogaming.com/products/22/A40-Headsets/), Mixamp 5.8 (http://www.astrogaming.com/products/detail/111/MixAmp-58/) and the Mixamp 5.8 RX (http://www.astrogaming.com/products/detail/122/MixAmp-58-Rx-Unit/)

Hope that makes sense.

@XPureInstinctX: The MixAmp 5.8 always comes with a TX and RX units and she would only need to purchase the extra RX if she wanted to use two headsets at the same time.

@Danny: Make sure you buy an audio system instead of separate components as the systems are just the components bundled together + significantly cheaper. I believe that I answered a few of your questions regarding the MixAmp 5.8 and A40 headset in my reply to your original post here (http://forums.astrogaming.com/showpost.php?p=46946&postcount=14).

In the future, questions like this go in the Help Desk ;). No worries though.

I disabled image rendering on my iPad to load pages faster because of my slow university connection :/. I corrected my post just now anyways.
