Paintball is more expensive but I liked it more when I used to play. I haven't played in years though.

Paintball imo, Airsoft people have a superiority complex it seems to me.

I say paintball, although I have never tried either, aside from shooting one of my friends in his ass from 6 inches away with an airsoft pistol. Just as a spectator, I'd say paintball

Just out of curiosity, how expensive is it? I mean, you buy a gun, gear, and some paintballs. Unless you're really into it, you might use that gun for a few years.. and other than maybe growing into a bigger size mask, you just need to pay for the ammunition. Is the ammunition expensive?

well it all depends on what your wanting to do, like do you want to do scenario or speedball also do you want to go to tournaments and what not. I got out of it a few years ago and for entry level equipment including marker in the end costed me around 900 for a entry level electronic marker and good hopper a good mask and a good hpa tank all of which you dont want to skimp on, I did however spend a bit more for things like nice pants and jersey couple gun upgrades and nice cleats. Now I did do tournaments so all of which I got mainly for it is very expensive to get into if you want to take it serious it really all depends on what you wanting to get out of it

Actually, I prefer AirSoft.
Paintball is FUN and more adrenaline-pumping, I will first admit.
But I love the aspect of SIMULATING real guns. From pistols, to automatics, to even sniper rifles, AirSofting FEELS authentic.
I don't do this often (or paintball often either) but I've tried both and enjoyed both. I think the bigger factor in determining which activity to pursue is going to be based on your friends' preferences. B/c friends make the difference! :)

True, I like the aspect of the realism too. completely, actually. Don't want to be like, GUYS LETS GO PLAY PAINTBALL, a nd then you're shooting airsoft bb's at them.

I have a tippman 98 custom and its really good. But paintball is pretty realistic haven't you guys seen the millitary grade paintball guns that are like m16's and ak47's that you can choose it to have 3 modes single shot three round burst, and full auto and also you can get paint ball grenade launcher for you gun haha now thats what you call realistic.
