Look at my OP.

Note: this thread is not attempting to in any shape size or form discuss politics, government, or a suggest a change a law. I am merely attempting to have a civil discussion on punishments and how effective they are.


I believe the death penalty is a cruel/unusual punishment that is not effective. Taking anothers life does not make anything better. Not to mention other forms of the death penalty such as the electric chair. Lethal injections are not as cruel as the others but the outcome is the same negative effect. I

I definitely don't like the mods there. I was banned once for trying to stick up for another member because he was banned for merely disagreeing with a mod about something. I took it up with Achronos saying that debate was what forums were mostly about and got my ban extended...needless to say I haven't been back.

I had a lot of posts there too 1000+ and had been using the forums for 3 years, but I can't support pompous administration. Warblade and stanimal are legit though so we don't have to worry about being banned for arguing (insulting yes, debating no). :)

Lol yeah i guess youre right (not the song ;)), i have like 6 accounts on there and have been banned over 30 times for trivial matters.

Man, sounds like a lame forum. I guess I won't be visiting that forum where the Mods have superiority complexes.

LuNaTiik was right though. Stan and Warblade are some really kewl guys. They've done a lot to make this forum what it is today. I commend both of them for that. They make you feel welcome and it rubs off on the members who join too. Everybody is really nice here.

When I first came here back in March of 2010 Warblade, Stan, Mitch and even Socks had made me feel right at home and even though my Astros were being detained by Customs for 2.5 weeks they made me feel at ease and reassured me that I was in good hands. After I received my Astro A40 and 2010 MixAmp and everything worked as planned, I was a sold guy to the Astro community. Now look at me. An Astro Community Leader. I don't feel like the title was just handed to me on a silver platter either. They have made me feel like I really earned the title.

I can't forget about Alpha. He joined like a week after I did and he has helped make this community a lively one. Alpha and I are kind of like block friends. When you're kids and you and all your friends get together to go play some stickball he has been like that kind of friend for me. I also commend Alpha for all his hard work at also making the forum what it is today.

LuNaTiiK and Todaay, you guys are doing a commendable service by helping everybody that you meet on here. Great job guys. :)

Astro Gaming makes you feel like your part of a network family. Nowhere else I've been on the net has had that effect on me. :D

Lol one good thing did come out of those forums when I used them though. About a year and a half before H3 released I made a thread asking why the Wraith tank didn't have the auto-turrets enabled in H2 during multiplayer since it was grossly underpowered compared to the Scorpion. Eventually the people posting on the thread concluded that the Wraith needed some sort of manned turret to combat the Scorpion. H3 eventually comes around and what do you know, turrets have been added to the tanks.

Anyways, I don't know if Bungie had already implemented that idea before I posted it but either way the turrets were a good addition and I like to think I contributed :cool:
