Optical/Toslink Cable

Is there a difference between an optical cable and a toslink cable? Because I tried to put my optical cable in my MixAmp 2010 and it didn't fit. I also read in the forums somewhere that the doors were coming off of the mixamp? If that is true then that is defiantly the case here:

It defiantly doesn't look like the other MixAmp in the perspective... Tell me if this is the case. Thanks

Actually after looking at this picture i am almost sure I received a defect because mine came with out the door...

Toslink is a fancy name for optical cable.

Toslink is just describing the connector, nearly every optical cable you see in general stores is a toslink cable.

you definitely have a defect there from what I can tell looking at the picture.

are you sure you put it in the right way? they only go in in one orientation.

One side of the Plug, is flat, that must align with the top of the mixamps port, which is also flat

Yeah I have had my astros for a year now, I am pretty sure I know how to put in my optical cable. lol

But yeah, the door is missing and I really need to send it back in. I appreciate the help everyone...
