Hey guys, audio noob here.
What is the best way to connect to an Auzentech Prelude?
Right now I have the TOSlink cable going through the TOS/optical mini adapter provided by auzentech into digital in. Is there a better way to connect? Coax?
Also for the windows (7) playback options and auzentech/x-fi settings:
In playback I disabled Astro USB and everything else except for Speakers Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 which is the Default Device. The config on the "Speakers" is set to Stereo. I had it set to 5.1 when I was using my now-broken HPA 5.1 headphones.
In the auzentech/xfi panel, I have Dolby Digital Live enabled, and in the speaker configuration, I have it set to Headphones.
Is all this good? :P Thnx!
NB: For some reason (that may be completely normal? I dont know) only the volume knob on my mixamp affects overall sound level, the windows volume bar doesnt affect anything anymore (treble and bass still affect, as well as individual program-separated volume levels in the windows mixer).
