Hey everyone first off I have to publicly eat crow as I posted a message stating UPS is garbage but they actually delivered on time this one so gotta give them their due for that. Now onto the reason on this new post I finally got my a40 bundle last night and only listened to them for about 2 hours so was 2 hours enough to convince me they are a better purchase then my previously returned x41's?

Hell yes these are much much better. First of all these items scream quality, hell even the cords feel tough I was blown away about how well designed everything felt and in direct comparison to the X41's well lets just say they felt more along the lines of some toys my kids have :(

Comfort as well won here over the X41's. The turtle beaches weren't uncomfortable but the astros feel better. The ear cups cover your entire ear and they don't touch the drivers as they do on the X41's "or my ears did anyways" and the material used on the a40's is not only soft but my ears never got warm and honestly I could wear these all day very well done.

Mixamp......very cool and much lighter than I anticipated it would be. Not to say it is cheap it's just light but very sleek and it just works..........really really well.

Okay now the most important factor SOUND. Well I have to say for me it only took about 2 minutes of Left 4 Dead 2 to say these are head and shoulders above the X41's. They are amazingly clear, so clear that I didn't have to have the volume almost all the way up like I did with the Turtle Beaches. Positional sound was dead on, zombies and witches were easy to pinpoint right off the bat and the rain on the "Heavy Rain" or whatever its called was amazing. Gun shots sounded powerful and not muffled I was truly blown away in the 2 short hours I used them for.

Whoever said these don't have bass is out of their mind. They do but it's tighter and more accurate, the x41's had too much bass even with the boost off and I found it too difficult to pinpoint anything "CODMF2" because the bass overpowered literally everything and did the same for LFD2.

Set up was great, yes there are wires but its not the end of the world, I had the wireless solution and well it went back 4 days later due to bandwidth hogging, excessive white noise, and huge popping and cracking sounds, Go to turtle beaches official website and read their forums on the x41.....I should a believed the masses.

In closing if your comparing the 2 trust me the astros are leaps better in every category. I'm not an MLG pro or astro fanboy, I'm a married dad with a full time job and 2 kids who loves to game when he gets the chance. Now I can actually hear what the hell is going on as opposed to keeping my tv on near mute like conditions. Sorry for the long post but these babies are soooooooo worth it. Kudos to Astros customer service as well they rock just as hard as their products do.

Yay! I'm happy you're as pleased with your A40's as we all are. It's definitely worth the money and the quality is outstanding. ^_^

Game away =D
