I purchased the A40's Oct. 6th not knowing there was going to be a revised version released on November 23rd of this year, otherwise I would have waited to make the purchase. The convenience of having a MixAmp for the USB capabilities would be wonderful to have due to having another cable out of the equation. Letting people exchange their older MixAmps for the upgraded MixAmps for the right price would be awesome. I would definitely be willing to pay the difference to have that convenience for the upgrade and am sure there are many others that would too. Wondering if Astro would be willing to consider this option?

Think of it as recycling, using as much as you can off the older MixAmps to create the new revised MixAmps or just upgrading the older MixAmps for the customer using as much of the original parts as possible.

there have already been threads discussing this when the mixamp first came out with them saying that there is no plans to create a recycling promotion to upgrade.

with that said, to pay 40+ shipping to receive a mixamp which does the exact same with perhaps one less cable could be worth the price of shipping alone?

To answer your question... yes I feel it would be worth paying the shipping and then the price for upgrade, all for one less cable. Otherwise im paying $130 plus shipping on that just to get another MixAmp for that convenience while the old one sits around collecting dust. I'm pretty sure that shipping plus the upgrade would be far less then buying a new one. That is if you live in the States anyway, I cant speak for anyone outside of the States.
