Astro A40 Bundle Questions

Is Astro the right choice for me because I really don't know what to get. Also for the Bundle thing with the A40 headset and MixAmp, will that be out for a long time like do you think that I have enough time to wait til Christmas or later and latest being about New Years. I really need someone to answer this because I was look at Triton and didn't seem to like and I was also looking at the Turtle Beach X41 with 7.1 Dolby Digital. Do you think I would care about the difference between the 5.1 and 7.1 because I am a little satisfied with my TV volume at 3 and a regular Xbox 360 headset lol. It would be nice to get a A40 headset and probably the best Christmas gift I'll get and also what should I get accessory wise like the chargeable battery pack and the cable thing?

Also can I listen to my MP3 and I'm sure you can. Lastly can you hook this up to your TV so you can listen to your TV or no?

You will notice very little difference between 5.1 and 7.1 in ANY headphone.

A bigger number is not a huge selling point.

in instances more directional sound can be confusing and be a determent to gameplay rather than an aid.

The Xbox 360 only outputs at Dolby Digtal 5.1 and if they did switch this in a Firmware Update to make Dolby Digital 7.1 Possible most outdated games such as Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 would still only output at Dolby Digital 5.1. Also I have used both Turtle Beach and Trittons and the amount of trouble you have with those headphones are terrible.

This is what I ordered and maybe you could base it of that.

- Astro A40 Audio Bundle (2010 MixAMP and Headphones)
- Rechargeable Battery Pack (If you don't want a USB Lead always in your Xbox 360)
- TOSLink Optical Cable (To grab Dolby Digital 5.1 from the Xbox 360) (Can be purchase 6, 12, 25 Feet)

Extas which I forgot to purchase but will after Christmas.

- Headset Stand (http://www.astrogaming.com/products/detail/77/ASTRO-Headset-Stand/) (Nice Stand to hang your Astros)

Well I personally owned the x41's and just got my a40's last night. Get the a40's its that simple, comfort, quality, and sound all far about the turtle beaches. Get the toslink and rechargeable battery pack as well. I'm posting up a quick and dirty review right after this reply.

Ok guys well thanks for all the help and no one answered my question about how much longer the deal for the mixamp and headphones will be out because I'm really hoping to get these headphones, but only with the mixamp. Please help me and thanks for answering all my other questions.

Did you mean, "How long will the A40s and Mixamp be available to purchase for $250 (USD)?" That's been there price for awhile, and I don't think it'll change any time soon. Stock comes in and goes out, so actual availability will vary at times, but as they are popular Christmas gifts, I would try to order them soon, so you don't get left without some. =)

Well I want either the Red or the Army one, but I don't really know and I don't know if I am going to get to order them before Christmas, but definitely after if I get the money :D
