Hey everyone, I always like listening to music while I play video games. Especially music that gets me pumped up, so I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions on what to listen. I like Alternative music, but I will listen to anything.

On another topic, my Blue A40s came in the other day, and let me just say... AWESOME!

Well, my friend just showed me this intense 'music' if you call it that, some people don't.. It's like.. techno, but not necessarily... it's a genre called Speedcore, and it gets me pumped. One of the 'bands or artists' are called m11dy. I usually don't listen to technoish music but it's great in my opinion.

I have a selection of music but I try to sear away from anything that will distract me from gameplay so i normally play something like hard NRG the anthems, just generic old school techno to get me going and not be to distracting.

Hahaha, don't make fun of me: I listen to movie scores. Pirates of the Caribbean and such. That's just 'cause I'm a classical music nerd though.

I think im going to have to go with you man. Death or Black is more my thing...but most of the time i like to listen to whats going on in the game but if im listening to something its going to be death or black!

Most nights in MW2, I need to blast out some punk rock, to the likes of The Distillers, The Briggs, Bad Religion, The Misfits, Billy Talent, etc. Maybe even bust out some psycho-billy like Tiger Army, Horrorpops, and Nekromantix.

If I'm playing something a little more chill, might bust out something with more of an electronic sound like Ratatat, Royksopp, Shiny Toy Guns, DJ Shadow, and more.

Hahah, that's perfectly fine. We need more clarinetist/pianist gamers in the world. That and it does help that my mom is a master pianist. I don't play any more but I still love me my classimacal music.

Oh Hans Zimmer is the MAN when scoring soundtracks. The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Rock? Some of my favorite movie scores. Used to listen to all that stuff while playing RTS games back in the day. Miss me some Warcraft 3... haha.

Yay! I'm so glad you know who he is. He also did The Last Samurai, if I'm not mistaken. I just love his stuff. It's really powerful and catchy to listen to. =)

Definitely is! Bear McCreary did the score for Battlestar Galactica and that is nothing short of awesome. Now he's doing the soundtrack to Capcom's Dark Void, gonna have to check out the game just for that.

Call me a nerd but I kindo fl ike the range J-Pop has in comparison to american pop. Its like Dance, Techno, Rock, Symphony, all smashed together with vocals.

I like techno, symphonic metal, old style rock(Bet no one can resist the temptation of born to be wild). Hip Hop/Bass tunes are good as long as they are not very "rap'ish". I don't want to hear about that stuff.

Dramatic orchestral tunes are a classy way of saying I am going to kick your arse, with my tea fingers and like it. (Aiming + Trigger ;) )

In lineage 2 during sieges I would always pump something loud while winning. Nothing gets your heart racing like 100+ other people trying to kill 100+ people for claim to a castle. Also let the egotism flow beautifully.

I can listen to music sometimes, but others it is just so distracting to do anything while I listen to music. Although, one song that was a guaranteed killer in halo was Can't Touch This. I don't even like that style, but whenever I played that song and played that game... boom, headshot.

its gotta be daft punk or dubstep which gets me going. nothing beats a good dose of heavy post hardcore metal sometimes though. most the time for me though its a case of listening to the music of war on bad co 2 or cod 6 :D
