I'm sure that many of us are aware that XBox has released wired controllers that are of poor quality. Many are plagued with short lifespans or a slow turn issue.

I know that mycustomxbox[dot]com has been producing "fixed" controllers that remedy issues like these and I was also told that XBox recently released new wired controllers that no longer have those old issues.

Regardless, I think it would be interesting to see if ASTRO could make a controller that the competitive crowd would find more reliable and/or comfortable. I'm sure many people would look into picking up a fresh new controller if ASTRO was the company behind its production.

I know for a fact that the Xbox 360 console was designed by Astro Studios, parent company to Astro Gaming, and I also believe that they designed the controller for it as well, although Microsoft does a ton of testing and studies with controller shape and such so maybe not, but this idea kinda of puts Astro competing against itself haha.

Someone has to make a Xbox 360 Controller on a competitive level... We have not seen one yet and the 360 is how old? It would be awesome if Astro Gaming blew our minds. The perfect harmony between controller and headset.

This is a great idea, and I would love to see a controller completely designed by Astro Gaming.

Didn't they discontinue the wired controllers recently? I remember reading one of T2's blogs on mlgpro.com and he said something about it.

yes, but they've recently started making a new series of wired controller which has the XBL logo in the top right of the packaging. Some speculate that this is why Microsoft has ignored all wired controller complaints for the past year.

Your only way to snag one is to buy it on a site like ebay from an individual user with a picture of that exact case, or buy in-store at a place like best buy. Ordering online, they'll just send you a wired controller, new or old, they have no idea.

Astro making controllers would be a nice touch, but if you dont want to jump into that market. What about a custom Astro xbox 360 controller shell ,since most of us can take apart our current controller.

I'd think that would be too complex to the average user.
