I just bought a astro a40 audio system and the small balance knob on the mixamp does not seem to work. For example, when i play counter strike or go on skype and turn the knob to the right and it not only makes the game volume go down but also the voice volume and vice versa. Is there any fix to this? Thanks.

Pretty sure that that knob is really for gameplay only... idk but that is my guess...

This balance knob, does not work with the PC Voice, this is because there is no separate input for VOICE from the PC. The PC Voice comes through the same channel as your speakers, therefore, you can adjust Ventrilo seperatley on the computer.

Oh, ok... I'm not sure then... I guess you could get an adapter (if there is one) that would split the cable so there is a Voice and Sound cable... I'm not sure if there is one though...

I'm not 100% sure, try flipping over the instruction manual or contacting support.

Hi ****_,
Like warri correctly said, the gameplay/voice balance doesn't function the way it goes on 360 or PS3 because both of those consoles separate the voice and game channels. On PC, all that game and voice sound is channeled through one source.
We apologize if this causes any frustration. We're working on a guide for PC users and will announce it as soon as it's completed.
