I was really diggin the red BXR line. I actually just logged into the site tonight and was going to purchase them as an xmas present to myself...I kno kinda selfish, but hey who isnt @ times right?

So my question for ya, you think there will be another set of limited edition headset coming out around or a little after xmas time? Like a couple of weeks after im talkin...

Another question does the mix amp have the newest dolby technology in it? If not, will there be a new mixamp with the newest dolby digital technology in the future?

Icey, Astro staff will not hint to any future projects or ideas in the making until they are ready to announce it. So unfortunately, asking them question regarding future projects will only result in a passive response if you receive one at all.

This is a tactical marketing scheme so that they can compete with other companies in the same industry. If they tell you they are working on something that will allow their competitors to get the upper hand on their own products.

I am sure there are others reasons for this as well, but that's just my educated guess for that.

Ok thats legit. But they still can answer the question for me if the new mixamp has the newest dolby digital technology.

I also just read a few moments ago that someone was reading through there mixamp manual and the manual stated that the mixamp had 7.1 dolby digital technology inside...

Is this true?

Hi icey,

As we often say, bigger doesn't always mean better. Just because some of our competitors tout 7.1 doesn't mean they actually take advantage of it or that it's any better than 5.1, especially when the Xbox 360 and PS3 only output to 5.1 (only with an optical cable or HDMI to a TV).

Can you please tell me what you mean by the latest Dolby technology? Is there a specific technology or certification you're looking for?

To be honest gameplay mechanics and content are much more intriguing and make a much better game than sounds and graphics.

Im Just curious if you guys are going to get more blue BXR's in stock. I was supposed to buy a pair for my son as a gift but the paycheck doesnt come till friday :/. Any chance that I'll be struck with luck and be able to get him a pair for christmas?

Dude, You better hurry and get a green one, because the Reds and Blues are gone and soon the Green ones will be too. They are not coming out with any more new headsets anytime soon so if you want please your son, act fast!

Under the shipping options I had two - Prepaid UPS at $67 and USPS with VAT/Duties extra at the same price;

Not something I really wanted to do, but I wanted them before Christmas and didn't want to use a middleman like GFC that would delay it even more :(

they changed it before for me im canadian it was 93.50 or like 70 now its like 63 and 67 put everything in ur cart and dont order it and just see how much it is for shipping

I am as well, but I unfortunately didn't get any options.. probably because I'm so far up north.

its standard ground shipping for NA. only option you get, is if you wanna pay for duties now, or if you want to pay at your door when the package arrives. The shipping does very i believe due to currency..... not sure about it tho... highest ive seen shipped to me is 98 bux.... so i waited checked everyday... then just gave up... and went with 69.
