will i need any cords for the voice input on my tv if i have an hdmi cable on my 360. i have this hd thing for my turtle beach x3's will this work the same for astro a 40's

the A40 system comes with every cable you will need to set up a variety of audio setups but if you want the full 5.1 surround sound experience you will have to buy the extra optical audio cable.

to be honest.....I bought a 12 buck mad catz optical cable.....I still get amazing audio.

The optical cable that Astro offers is more than good enough and for the length, a really decent price.

Haven't had the chance to try a less expensive one compared to the ASTRO 25 foot they sell. I'll see if I can get another one that's cheaper and check the difference.

oh also DBAKER UR 100% WRONG to play in hd and use astros ull need the xbox hdmi adapter and this setup will only work with optical cable

Unless his monitor or tv has an opticle audio out.

it's what I use.

I was just going to ask about this in the forum, I wanted to know if I could hook up to my optical on the back of my TV! Awesome to hear you can.

I may have missed this but how long is the USB cable for plugging in the MIXAMP?

Will be ordering my set tomorrow!

2.5mm I believe... and I'm not sure if it can go right into the back, or if you need an adapter for that... This will also probably fluctuate depending on what type or monitor/HDTV you have... And congratz on the ordering!

If I read this correctly, around 3.5 feet - 4 feet.

I don't know what you're really talking about in this post? I'm sure it works as other people said it has. I am not using HDMI at the moment for my Xbox 360, and I use optical to my AV/Component cable that runs from my 360 to the back of my TV. In a way, it kind of sounds like you were being hostile towards me. Though maybe I'm just taking that wrong.. Heh, don't want to start an 'e-fight' or anything.. just saying. I could be wrong though. Sorry if I am.
