Shorter headset lead

I find that the headset lead in comparison to the controller lead (2.5mm-2.5mm) is a bit to long, the distance I sit being dictated by the length of the controller lead I find that the headset lead is to long and gets tangled, trapped and caught allot causing it to be pulled or pinched.

It's very annoying and could cause problems or damage.

any thoughts to provide a shorter quick disconnect lead for the headset?

Usually customers opt for our longer cable but I definitely understand your concern. Unfortunately, I don't forsee us making a shorter cable in the near future.

A solution for you is something that I often do. Simply take a few twist-ties, roll the cable around your hand a couple times until you have your preferred amount of slack and then just wrap the twist-tie(s) onto the rolled up portion of the cable.
