View Full Version : Why don't mods answer technical questions on the forums?

There have been many times where someone asks about a problem related to the headphones or mixamp that I would also like to know the answer to but all the mods say is to go to the support page. Why don't they just answer the question?

One reason I can think of is that the admins here might not be able to answer technical questions about their product. But I agree with that having these questions answered in the forum could benefit more members and potential customers.

ittekimasu is correct. If you read up on the job roles of the Astrogaming crew, Stanimal is actually the Community Marketing Manager. Whiile he is an Astro a40 user, and a PC and xbox guy, he may not have all the answers to every situation out there. Things are better handled by their Customer Service team, as that's their main role and function with the company.
It's like if you went to the hospital and kept asking the Janitor what's wrong with you. He may work at the hospital, and he may even have some knowledge of what may be happening, but wouldn't you rather go with a Doctor instead?

Warblade made an excellent analogy, thanks man!
OliveBlackhawk, please understand that doing technical support on forums is actually a logistical nightmare. It would be a sloppy mess over the forums and be a painful process for our support team AND you as the customer. We send customers to our support team because our support system can easily track and properly delegate any incoming support cases. This way, we can ensure a quick and helpful response.
Hope this answers your question,
- ASTRO Stanimal
