Is Mw2 online going down soon?

I've gotten a msg on PSN saying that the mw2 is going offline.

And I've read people saying on a few other sites that I go to, that mw2 is going offline.

Is it actually going offline or is it just a stupid rumor going around.

The msg sent to me wasn't sent by Infinity Ward, but the msg itself looked officially typed, so it looks like the person who sent it to me forwarded it.

If anything is ever going to go down then the official website will normally tell you, or you will get a message inside the game sometimes.

I didn't read it wrong. Seemed Suspicious anyways because it said to send to all of your recent players met and all friends etc.

Ofc Imo if Infinity Ward was doing this, they'd send a message to everyone from themselves saying that they're shutting it down instead of having other people send the messages and telling others to send it like a chain mail.
