Okay so I have two questions, one is: I have a laptop, and I plan to use the amp with my onboard soundcard, how do I know if it will support the 5.1 audio that this mixamp offers me?

My other question is: Do I need a TOSlink cable/setup in order to get the full 5.1 surround sound experience? What are the differences between using the Coaxial, RCA analong setups?

Thanks for your time :D

Hi FattyMcFatFatFatty,

Our MixAmp works great with stereo outputs and decodes them using Dolby Pro Logic II for excellent 5.1 surround sound.

To get an even better surround sound experience, a TOSlink optical cable and Coax digital cable will provide the best and most accurate sound.

On a PS3 and Xbox 360, using a Coax or a TOSlink cable will be automatically decoded via Dolby Headphone Surround. If you have a PC or laptop, you'll have to make sure you have the proper Dolby encoding on your soundcard so that our MixAmp can decode it. Dolby Home Theater works best and is often found on laptops.

Hope this answers your questions. Let us know if you have any more!

Okay, well, thank you :)... Do you know how I find out if it supports it? Is it kind of, if it doesn't say it on the PC it doesn't support it?
