England and the mixamp

Greetings from england, when will our stores be updated with the new mix amp? as i've just purchased a set of a40's with the old amp and adapter for my ps3 and im wondering if i would be able to purchase the new mixamp from the uk store before my send back time runs out. p.s. these will be a christmas present, so thats another time factor. :eek:

I'd like to know this too. I was looking at purchasing myself a pair for christmas also, and my primary format is the ps3, so I'd rather have the newer mixamp to make things easier.

well thanks for the reply, thats a pile of crap then tbh :/ owel spose ill have to live with the adapter. just a shame that an astro member of staff coudlnt reply to this as hes posted both before and after this thread was created...

I ordered my set after I got emailed a newsletter on Tuesday saying "All Astro MixAmps now shipping are fully PS3 compatible!", it said nothing about US only in the newsletter. I thought great and ordered straight away from astrogaming.co.uk. I then read this thread last night and emailed support@astrogaming.co.uk to find out if the new mixamp was included.

I haven't had a reply yet, if I did I would of cancelled before they despatched it, but I got an email at 17:45 today saying it my order had been despatched. Oh great! :rolleyes: So it looks like I'll be telling UPS to take it straight back. Then wait until I get a refund and reorder from the US store.

Sorry for the delay in responding, just wanted to get some facts straightened out before I posted.

As of now, the UK store will be getting the USB MixAmp later in 2010. If you would like to purchase the USB MixAmp, it is available in our US store. Please trust us that between our inventory and production schedules, that is the earliest we can do.

If you received your A40 Audio System within the last 15 days, you are eligible for a full refund (minus shipping) and you can purchase your A40s with the USB MixAmp off of the US site.

Please also note that the differences between the two MixAmps are simply cosmetic and that the USB adapter is built-in. Overall, the functionality is exactly the same when you compare the MixAmp w/ the PS3 adapter and the USB MixAmp. That and it'd be significantly cheaper for UK customers to pick up the A40 Audio System with the PS3 adapter than to order from the US store.
