If I am not mistaken, the astro company helped design the XBOX 360 system, and I presume some of the accessories as well. I would like to see some custom Astro 360 Custom Special Edition Controllers that have specialized Astro Designs on them that are well detailed and not to basic. Something that will catch the eye and still have the astro feel to it.

I would recommend they be made from a standard Microsoft 360 controller in wired and wireless and have some of the designs match the audio systems and/or speaker tags for the BXRs, Standard, MLG, Upper Playground and PAX editions.

This will allow the gamer to feel more branded in their experience with astro gaming equipment.

For example I really like some of the designs made by this website:

Thoughts?

I think this is a great idea. ASTRO has come through with so many other community inspired ideas including the Scout Gaming Backpack, a new design for the MixAmp, and more of a variety of A40s to choose from.

Though I do believe that our ideas are inspirational, I also believe that their recent projects were already in the process of being released for teh Holiday season. I am sure there is a long process in developing new things and the from the time that forum went live and when they released these new products was too short a time for them to have discovered an idea from the forums and made it a reality.

Don't get me wrong, I am also sure our ideas are really helpful. But, the suggestions that we made weren't something that they could have never been thinking about at the least.

It is a smart business decision to release new products during the holiday season, and honestly I am surprised they weren't released sooner. Must have been some delays I presume. But I do expect some of our other ideas to become reality sometime next year like the avatar gear, and maybe even this custom controller idea.

I would pay attention to the reactions of some of the Astro Staff to these ideas. If you notice the ones that actually went into the making had a strong response for a few reasons in my opinion:

1) They may have been hinting that it was coming soon, but of course they can't tell us.
2) They want us to feel involved so we keep coming back. Which don't get me wrong, is a great thing. I love companies that are involved with their fans/customers.

But maybe I am wrong about all of this. This is just a thought...

Hi Black Logik,

We definitely love and encourage any ideas that our community and customers have. It's your feedback and response that gives us the inspiration to not only provide what you as gamers are looking for, but to make it the best gear possible.

If you want us to work on or make something, keep doing what you're doing. We're always reading. :)

The new headphone colour and tag designs are nothing short of spectacular.I finally took the plunge because of the new red headset, and the fact the scout bags finally shipping (cheaper shipping north of the border was a nice find too). However, one question, what's improved about the new mixamp?

The MixAmp has been updated with a USB sound functionality built-in so you can use it directly with your PS3 without the need for our PS3 adapter. A bonus to this is that it could also be used on a PC as a USB sound card.

Oh, and I think it looks a little nicer. :)

I've seen once on a webpage people hacking and selling controllers that allow a "L3" or "R3" button (where you push the joystick button's down) on the back side of the controller (you would use something like your ring finger in order to press this). Would be super useful for something like MW2's R3 for holding your breathe while sniping, as sometimes I feel like I tend to move around my aim while holding down the button.

(And actually, if anyone remembers a site that sells a controller like this already, let me know. I've tried looking again, but only found those lame auto-trigger type controllers).

I don't think you should be advertising other websites in this forum. But aside from that, I would rather see an Astro Official Custom Controller rather than adding as skin to a regular controller. The idea that Astro has made it is so much more satisfying than a cheap skin in my opinion. No offense.

after reading this thread again, i think that any controller not made by microsoft or sony, respectively, would not be allowed in competitive gameplay, such as mlg.

not that you guys are going to mlg events, but just thought i would throw that in there.

anybody remember the 1st person shooter controller for xbox?
idk if this is the exact one but it looked very similar to this:

I think you have it all wrong... Any controller not made by Microsoft would be an ineligible controller.

Wow that FPS Master is almost genius. I'd almost try it out if it was for the 360. =P Dunno about that "Strategy" section in the middle though.

I played the regular Xbox very seldomly. Did it have bumpers? Or were those the weird clear buttons on the controller, that later moved?

I think that an Astro MLG controller usable at events would be the best thing ever...
