i was wondering if you guys are doing some kind of trade in program to get the new astro mix amp, you know like send the original back to you guys (if still under the one year warranty ofcourse) and get some money off. i really dont want to spend another 129.99 to get it.
Thanks:D

Yea, I would totally be interested. Kinda lame that it comes out nearly exactly a month to the day after I ordered mine, oh well. Keep us posted guys

I as well was wondering about that.. it's kind of a hassle where I payed for mine 22 days ago, and then this comes out and MAY be an upgrade! :( It would be great if something like that could be done.

I just received my A40's last week and I'm sending them back to buy the new BXR series. I've already submitted my return request just waiting for my RMA instructions. I prefer not having a USB adapter and extra wires everywhere just to play on the PS3. I should have my BXR's by next Wednesday. :D

Any one from astro staff have an answer for this?
I really don't think astro is going to do anything like that unless ur within the 14days of purchase. To be honest that is just business. But it would be a nice jesture and possible black Friday deal if they wanted to do it that way.

Understandable about the business model and all, but the have a specific kind of client, and keeping that relationship with the customer is a must, especially in this times. I am not asking for a complete trade in, but may be some kind of buy back for the old and use that for credit to the new one. I think if the set of cans are still under warranty they should do something like that.

Interesting, why do you guys changed you answer... I dont see the negative impact something like this will cause to you guys, actually something like this will actually make you guys more popular. A trade in program for the revised amp (which i think that your custumers should be entille of getting new updates made to the amp within the warranty year) will not only make new customers but keep the ones you have. dont get me wrong i love the astros but i just dont have the extra 129 to get the newer mix amp. But like the answer i am getting latetly...oh WELL!:(

I agree with u on this 100% on this. This is what made Gamestop. What I said up in my recent
post is what astro would say. Sometimes in order to go farther than the quote mlg sponsers unquote u have to lose a little to gain more. And thinking outside the box helps. Making a program that understands it's customers and understanding the actual market will boost revenue in the long run.

Hi guys,
We apologize but a trade-in program for a minor change in our MixAmps is something that we unfortunately can't justify.
Please understand that the differences between the two MixAmps are simply cosmetic and that the PS3 USB adapter is built-in. Overall, the functionality is exactly the same when you compare the MixAmp w/ the PS3 adapter and the USB MixAmp. As an Xbox 360 user, you won't see any benefit from switching over to the USB MIxAmp. If you're a PS3 user and you currently use the MixAmp with a PS3 adapter, you also won't notice any difference in functionality. You still get the game/voice balancing, daisy-chaining ability, and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound decoding.
For those of you who are within 15 days of receiving your A40 Audio System, you are eligible for a return for a full refund (minus shipping) and you can pick up a new audio system with the USB MixAmp.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know or you can contact our support team (http://www.astrogaming.com/support).

hey thanks for the reply. Actually astro is just sending me a return address through the mail ( I couldn't get the one through email for some reason). I am sending the one I have back to get fixed I guess. I'm not 100% sure the details but that's all I know right now. I don't think they are going to send a replacement.
