View Full Version : Compatibility Question (360 HDMI w/ A40s)

I have an LG monitor. I hook my Xbox 360 up to it through an HDMI cable I bought of Amazon (not the one the 360's used to come with). I cannot take the plastic off of the AV cables that it came with, so the two cords cannot hook up to the 360 at the same time. Will the Astro A40s and Mixamp work with computer speakers somehow if I bought some?
This is the cable I have: http://gamestuff.ca/images/HDMI_Cable.jpg
These are the speakers I would use: http://www.tspire.com/catalog/659.jpg
This is the AV Cable I have: http://ps360repair.com/images/xbox360-av.cable_1_.jpg
Again, I can't take the plastic off, because it's reinforced (New Xbox 360 Slim Model's cord).
I don't know what type of cords it comes with or anything (the A40s). Even if I did, I probably wouldn't know what the names of 'em meant.
I know this isn't a support forum, but I don't even want to try and mess with their support. I also don't want to say all this on the phone or whatever they do here.
Thanks!

Okay so what you want is the two Left and Right RCA Ports.
Well for that you will need to purchase one of these.

Edit Note. The ASTRO A40 TOSLINK Cable can be plugged directly into the S Console.
Edit Note 2: It's not a Slim :P

Thanks, and.. What's not a slim?
If you are saying mine isn't because of the AV cable I posted, it is. I posted that one, because the cords are almost identical. This is the 360 I have: http://images.mirror.co.uk/upl/m4/jun2010/7/4/xbox-360-silm-pic-getty-images-633125239.jpg
Or.. Am I missing something? >.<

Yep, that's the new console and it's not a Slim. It's just a new Xbox 360 250GB. Not Slimmer, not smaller, just redesigned haha. :P
Anymore questions, just feed them into this thread and I will answer them.

That doesn't make sense to me.. The new Xbox is comparably smaller then the original 360

What Socks said, the only reason it is a little smaller is because the HDD is on the inside now.

it is a really nice hard drive. to bad they dont have a hard drive adapter where you can use your old xbox hard drive with someone who has a newer xbox, or the other way around. someone who has a new xbox but wants to play their stuff on an older xbox

USB Memory Sticks. That's how I take my Data to my old 360 and back.
