I have owned a pair of A40s for a year now and I absolutely love them. I ordered a pair of A30s when the price drop was announced and I received them today. The only problem I have with the A30s is the mic. It is very prone to picking up very easily the blasts of air that either come from one's mouth, or nose for that matter. Yeah, yeah, I should stop breathing through my nose, but that is how most people do when they play a game. I only played one game with the new A30s and people where giving me crap about not talking, but they could hear me breathing out my nose because the mic was picking the blasts of air up. How about a small piece of foam for a windscreen to maybe cut out the blasts of air that come from the mouth and nose, or make the mic half the length an put the mic directly on the end. This way it would not pick up the blasts of air. Also I have never had any of the afore mentioned problems with the A40. Still like the A30s but..... I have also now seen this small problem talked about in another forum, so I don't think it's just me.

You could try bending it a bit out of the way of where air is exhaled from your body (this usually helps, but the mic does expand back to it's normal position over time). But yes, I agree, the A30 mic does pick up breathing noises a lot more than the A40's mic.

my a40 mic is kinda like this. it picks up little bursts of air. the more i move it away helps and it still picks up my voice just fine.

Just try not to get to excited when you kill randys, lol, just attempt moving it away from your mouth.
