Warblade's Custom Reverse Grille Job

[ASTRO Warblade]

Hey guys,

I mentioned before how I wanted to remove the "Space Invader" reverse grille and spray it a different color (from black to something else). The main inspiration for this was the original Limited Edition tags from ASTRO (when the A40s first released, the first 500 were marked and numbered, as well as this particular speaker grille was painted the ASTRO red/orange color).

It took some time and effort figuring out how to remove this reverse speaker grille, and I don't really recommend it, as not only would it void your warranty, but it can be a little cumbersome to put back together.

does the mic rub up against the paint inside the holes? thats the only problem i could see happening is that it would rub off and get inside something imporant

Reminds me of when I used to paint my controllers, still would be nice to paint the whole headset.

I looked up a Tutorial on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd9Y2WpOx6k) and it doesn't seem that hard to open the headset and get to the speaker grille but like you said, it would pretty much void the warranty.

not going to lie these look pretty sick warblade makes me quite jealous, only because i really want to do this too but dont want to risk warranty just yet lol...
