so while waiting for my custom controller to come from mycustomxbox.com i went ahead and painted one of my own. it was just a trial run. i had a little overspray in one spot but you really cant see it.. i painted the triggers and bumpers grey which next controller im not going to paint because they get a little sticky and i dont like the feel of them. but the controller body feels exactly the same as any other xbox controller. you cant even feel where the paint starts and where the paintmask was. its pretty nice. the next one im going to make is going to be red

That's pretty sick! Are you going to add a 3 into the little circle on the left?

That's sick, is the white chief and circle the original white from the controller? or did you do multiple layers?

the white is the original white from the controller. i used the paint mask and primered it a few times today, then painted a few layers then put a clear protection coat after. you cant even feel where the paint mask was and the original white paint is. im going to do a red one next monday. maybe the bottom plate i may do a digital camo red white and grey. but i did the bumpers and triggers on this one and dont really like the feel of them. but i do like the grey start/select. the green paint with the protection coat you cant even tell the difference between that and a different xbox controller not painted. its pretty nice. ill have to post pics of my red one when i do it monday

Yeah, on my solid gold one (I wanted it to be like "ahhhh the golden controller), I didn't do any of the buttons, I even left the strip in between to two bumpers white. I liked it, but unfortunately I didn't do a clear coat and a protective layer over it, the paint said it wouldn't do well with that. I really wish I had found some nice metallic gold that did, because it's faded on the sides from so much use. I've had it about a year.

i used dupli-color auto spray for primer, colors, and their clear coat.
