Hey,
Looking at the A40 Audio System (Hopefully MLG :D).
I'm going to get these from the UK.
Does anyone have a prediction of when a new set will be coming out? I'm not sure how old/new these A40's are. I'm getting these sometime after Christmas, and don't want to get some, and then some new ones come out, 1/2 months later.
So, if you could answer me this:
1. How long have the A40's been out?
2. If some new ones come out, hoe long before the UK/EU gets them?
3. Your predictions on their release date :)
Thanks
Joseph Duffy

I'm wondering the same thing.
The a40's have been out for a year

If anyone could tell me this I would be greatfull, the ONLY thing keeping me from buying a set today is I don't want a new set out in 3 months that I could have waited for

actually they have been out for two years. If it was just a year i'd not have a problem with getting a set now, but two years is a bit long to not have a new set in the works.

well since a new mixamp and headset came out a week ago i doubt anything new happening in the next 2-4 months

I personally can't see room for improvement on the mixamp side from what I read. I've read that the mixamp only supports medium 5.1 or something but other than that the only other thing I can think of is the quality of the cans which are already top quality. The only people who would notice would be audiophiles anyway

I doubt that ASTRO will be releasing anything in the coming months, but I only say this because they have just recently released the new and slightly improved MixAmp and the new BXR Series.

hello fellow gamers i have just bought a set of A40s i was asking the same thing so i emailed astro uk.they told me that the BXR will be out later next year said about APRIL-MAY.The only difference with the BXR is that the mixamp is ps3 compatible(you dont need to buy the music fairy).it connects through the usb cable.and the headset has only different colours and tags.eveything else is the same as the standard A40s.
You can buy the A40s with confidence i was worrid that they would not live up to the hype but my god they do.i will say that if your expecting a lot of low end you will be dissapionted they are not some cheap end headsets that blow your ears out with loud bass. There is some low end but nothing like some people expect. Its the small sound that blows you away the sounds that you never have heard before that shocks. You may laugh at this i was playing assasins creed2 last night as i was walk through the streets of florence i kepted looking over my shoulder as i kept thinking someone was walking behind me they are that good.if you keep getting shot in the back on COD then get a pair of these they will help.
THE PRICE IS HIGH!! BUT SO IS THE QUALITY.........

Hi guys,
All we can say is that the A40 isn't being replaced anytime soon. You're fine to order your A40's now. :)

Yer, me two. The "This is all I needed", not the child bit, I am a child :)
One last thing, is it worth waiting and getting the new ones (All I can see id that they're compatible with PS3 out the box, which I don't have), because I've heard they aren't out in the UK for a while :(
Thanks for the replys
