win for sure. hope the mission bag is everything i have ever wanted. ill prob get the scout bag down the road too.. but it just seems like i can fit more stuff in the mission bag... i also hate how the astros are open to damage in the scout bag. but with the mission bag i can put them in their case and throw them in the bag without worry

How are the astros open to damage in the scout bag isn't the case hard and very good at protecting the astros?

SocksWthSandals
05-24-2010, 11:01 PM
from what ive heard its hard... but i still just like to be sure. if my bag gets thrown around id like to just feel comfrotable about their not going to shift or anything. id just feel better about them being in their headset case in the mission bag

Well I guess that's good reasoning but I'd prefer just to use a bag of any kind

As to your thought about them being liable for injury (new vocabulary win)...

I've got the MLG Scoutbag, and I use it for school and LAN parties which I go to a good amount of the time, I'm also planning on going to Meadowlands when it comes around whether I play or not, I just wanna watch. but anyway, when you have the A40's in the front of the backpack (don't have A30's, probably the same deal), I'd say they're only not safe if you have a jackass of a friend who wants to punch your bag, or you throw it and it lands on the front of the bag. Although, I doubt you'd throw a backpack with some $500+ worth of equipment.. I did notice that it's a little tight when it's filled though. Don't get me wrong, it holds a lot of stuff, but I had in the big pouch: Elite with cables, a 10ft ethernet cable, and a small iHome for the LAN party, for tunes. in the front I had all my Headset stuff, and it wasn't easy to get the zipper up on the big pocket. What I'd recommend if you do get the scoutbag, is to pack the headset pocket first, because it just feels like your cramming them into a small spot if you do it second. They're probably be fine, but it's just a feeling I got.

Congrats on the new bag.

first impressions of the bag. its pretty large. plenty of room for console, controllers, headset, and pretty much anything you can put your heart to. extra pockets where needed and easily accessable. the new bag dosent have the inside strap for a console, but it comes with a laptop/console bag so you can stuff your console in there and it will be pretty secure. plus would be nice if im just taking my xbox somewhere and dont need the extra items. the strap is pretty sturdy. large metal connectors on the ends of the strap so i dont see this breaking by any means. im pretty sure i could fit my 360, some controllers, power supply, every game i own, optical cables/hdmi cables, ect in the bag and still have room to spare. heres just some general pics of it. ill post some more pics of the pockets and stuff later

Alrighty, here it is. remember, TEMPORARY. ^_^

The room it will be in is a long thin room. Used to be a huge walk-in closet, so it should be an interesting setup when I do it.

Lol, so childish, but so fun.. I have a teacher who just pulls one out in class, and I just stand up and bounce it at the wall next to my desk.

Lol, I told him how I lost mine, and that I desperately bought a 2 dollar one to be able to use one that day, and he was like, you can get em at walmart for like $10. it's totally random to even be talking about this now, but it was just funny. it's even funnier because he's 6'5" and could rip your arms off.. lol

I think it's a good setup for now, because I used to be in the middle of everything. that's why I hate the bedroom I have now (not the one in the pic, that's our "playroom"), I've got the biggest room in the house, but half of it has a huge TV. I used to use that, but I don't like playing on a huge TV, if you can believe that.. So yeah, I spend my hours in the playroom with the AC right under that couch.

Oh wow I completely forgot about my math teacher I love him to bad he left the school we watched movies on Fridays we used to chill on days we didn't want to work after he taught a lesson and he used to make some funny jokes he was also the coolest marker. I was failing the course and he bumped me up to 60% because in the exam day after the exam I asked him to and I was surprised he actually did it. Man I love that teacher

Hell, when I was in school my teachers were so strict and demanding that I felt like I was being prepped to be the next super soldier or the next Hitler or something. haha It's no wonder that most serial killers are not that far out of high school. Their teachers probably conditioned them to being mentally unstable. haha

Cheers...

so back to the forum topic.... :) ......... i stuffed some things in the mission bag and took it to my friends house and theres 2 things ill point out that kinda bug me.

first, the velcrow strap that holds the power supply in the bag should be an alastic strap that you can slide the power supply in. i think that would be a little easier than trying to velcrow the thing down in there.

second, the opening to the main compartment should be a smigen larger. just to make puting things in and taking them out of the bag a little more smooth.

i mean thease arent major things and im just being picky. but still :) i love the bag! i never knew how heavy everything i had was.

That's awesome dude, what about how it's an over the shoulder thing? I didn't want it because of that, I hate having to carry something so it's just slapping on my side..

SocksWthSandals
05-28-2010, 10:22 AM
yea carrying things on my shoulder kinda bothers me too. however the shoulder strap is very comfrotable. i dont carry it for long distances anyway. usually just from the car to wherever im going. i honestly just have been debating about getting rid of the shoulder strap and just using the top handles of the bag because they are pretty sturdy. i am curious about how heavy the scout bag is on the back with the same ammount of gear in it.

Lol, you can just weigh all your stuff, and then add maybe a pound or 2 to that, counting the scout.

The scout bag is suuuuper comfy. It fits snug and has some great weight balance on your shoulders when packed with the xbox and gear.

post is for xVaTaLLaT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so here are some pics of my mission bag and a few things that i have inside of it. there are a few things i am going to keep in there such as extra optical cable, extra hdmi cable, eithernet cable, extra headset cable, xbox video cables in case im on a tv that dosent have hdmi. extra controller, extra batteries. the bag holds up to 6 games in the front but thats really all the front can hold, no more than that. the side compartments hold my eithernet, optica, and video cables. inside the bag has my xbox, astros, power supply, gunnars, hdmi cable, 2 controllers. as you can see from the picture theres plenty of room for maybe a laptop or a change of cloths or extra controllers, games. really theres still enough space for whatever youd like to put in there. however keep in mind what you put in there you have to carry, so weight does become a factor!

Hey Socks, Do you still read the manuals for your games? If you don't I would suggest you get one of those CD wallets to manage all of your game discs so you can take all your games with you to your friends or wherever you go. :)

I'm really wondering what that note says on the Halo: CE Case..

As for bags.. I tend to overfill my Scout Backpack to the point of looking like you stuffed your shirt with.. more shirts(y'know, it looks bumpy..) Example: You want to look pregnant so you throw a bunch of shirts under your shirt and it looks bumpy. :P (My backpack has yet to tear or break open or anything. I <3 it but I think it hates my abuse.)

I really wish ASTRO shipped to my location still.. I'd definitely pick up a Mission Bag..
