Hey, my name is Matt and I just got my a40's in the mail this week... I absolutley love them - big step up from my Turtle Beach x1's that I had been using for about a year prior to.
I've been using my a4o's for a few days... and it was brought to my attention that my mic outputs an annoying hum while I'm in game ( I can actually see that my mic is outputting sound, even while I'm not taliing ) .. I can't hear anything, but everyone I'm in the party with says it is super annoying... I read the trouble shooting and it didnt solve anything. Has anyone else had htis problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've found that it comes and goes.
One known fix is to use batteries instead of using USB power. Try that out, see if it makes a difference, it may be worth investing in rechargables if you dont already have them for a digital camera or something.
Alternatively, you can change the USB power source. If you currently use your 360, try using a laptop to power the mixamp. Personally, this is what I do if teammates complain about any humming.
Best of luck good sir, and power cycling everything is sometimes even enough to do it.

Yeah, tried all that... I've pretty much narrowed it doen to it being responsible from me plugging in the audio inputs into the tv... I even tried using the headphone jack from my tv... So, I;m not sure what the case is... if I have faulty wires, or a mixamp... tried emailing Astro to re-open my claim... waiting to hear back. Thanks for the tips though Bravo, congrats on Anaheim.

I hear that if you have batteries inside while connected via USB and the batteries are fully charged it could do it. Try taking the batteries out.
