Ive had my astros for 2weeks and i treat them like my newborn baby. The cable that goes from the mixamp to the controller has stopped working . While playing xbox i cannot hear voices at all while the cable is plugged in. When i unplug the 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm cable i can hear voices. (through the speakers but cannot control the volume of the voices which is 1 of astro a40s best features...). Also there is nothing wrong with the wire visably. Nothing is bent , broken , scratched, everything is BRAND new.

My astros are definitly still under warranty but im not excited about waiting about a month and a half to ship them to California and back. Oh and i have to pay for shipping too, thats nice. I'm so dissapointed by this product right now. I've taken such good care of them since the day i got them, cant believe they broke so soon

Judging by how many other people have the same broken cable and seem to not be getting good support , im probably going to send these back for a full refund. Even if i ship my astros back to cali and wait months for them to get back, the wire itself seems to be manufactured cheaply or just bad design. So it will probably just screw up again for no reason.

I already emailed tech support , just waiting to see what they think.

Yeah I wouldn't think they would make you send your headset back considering that's just a cable. They would just troubleshoot with you and determine if the cable is the problem. If it is they would probably ship you a new one.

Cheers...

is it even possible for me to just ship everything back and get a full refund, i ordered them on April 19, 2010. I couldnt find information on this.

id rather not mess with something thats going to break this easily, id rather get rid off it to be honest..

Hi!

Sorry to hear about your cable issue, we'd be happy to provide you with a full refund if you're within your 15 days of receiving the product.

Now if you'd like a replacement cable, simply work with our Support Team (http://www.astrogaming.com/support)'s troubleshooting and we'll take care of you.

Cheers,

Do you really believe they will be at all lenient with the warranty? its 6 days past or something.

/edit didnt know it was 15 days since i received it, thought it was 15 since i placed order which would be bs :)
