Hi, Am after some help. I just got my Astro A40 head set and mixamp, also i bought TOSlink cable and Battery. I am am baffled how you set these up as the manual only gives instructions for xbox. I have been on the ps3 forum that a technical guy from astro forwarded me 2, but it only explains how to connect music fairy to ps3.
Just wondered if some 1 can give me a step by step on how to connect to my ps3
also tha battery pack comes sealed with 2 silver points on one side. I take it you dont remove the plastic
Sorry for being a noob its just frustating that it wont work
Cheers

I don't have the battery pack but you should have two 3.5 cables hook from the fairy to the mix amp. One to the mic and the other to one of the daisy chain plugs (you have to remove the red plug).
If you have it set up that have, when I got mine I had the volume set to game and not the mic.

You may need to adjust the mic volume under audio device settings on the PS3. I had it set to 4 and was getting low chat volume with a lot bad feedback. I made the change and life is good again. :D

I don't believe you're supposed to remove the seal. I attempted to, and then noticed that.. it probably shouldn't be removed! :P So, it's supposed to be like that I believe... Don't do it bud!

I just finished installing my a40 headset plus mixamp onto ps3. Very smooth process. I have admit this headphone is music to the ears. Ive been looking for a good headphone to replace my home theatre since i cant wake up my baby girl now and i am very impressed with these. I never post threads but i feel i have give props when due. U dont need the ps3 mic adapter after u purchase 11/19/09. Apparently they integrated the ps mic adapter into the mixamp now. So now its only fiber optic and usb/usb mini u have to hook up to ps3. I play mw2 competively online and sound is crucial just like cs. I only wish they brought back the old listening to your enemy perk. Prepare for alot of cables though but with todays wireless technology its just not up to par compared to wired. Hope this helps some of make your choice
