im buying this View Sonic monitor (http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/871735/ViewSonic-VX2260wm-22-Widescreen-LCD-Monitor/) and i want to be able to use it with my xbox 360 with sound, i know there is something that converts the RCA from my 360 to a 3.5mm insert that can go into my view sonic... anybody know where to find it? or any other easy solutions so i can hear sound out of the view sonic (360 sound)

hdmi cables carry sound, why not get the xbox 360 hdmi with optical adapter? :) seems like an easy fix to me, nice monitor!

my 360 is like from day 1 and they dont have hdmi ports :(

I own the monoprice VGA one, and it works fine, though on a friend's bought from monoprice, there is a slight ghosting issue. She may have just got a badly made batch.

That cable isn't hdmi. It's the standard proprietary cable jack.
