I wasn't going to post my setup as it may seem a little excessive to some and puny to others. But I decided, what the hell. Mind you, these first set of photos are of my main home theater room. I've revised my signature with whats mainly in the main room. I haven't decided yet, but I may move all the gaming consoles into the main room and buy a pool table for the gaming room.

That is one badass sub.
I see you have the Resident Evil Films on Blu-Ray. Still looking for the first one which no shop seems to sell.

That is a lot of..... stuff. :)
Very nice stuff though.
I actually got out of the business of buying DVDs thankfully. I spend that money on kayaks and kayaking gear now.

That one only set me back $600. It's actually not the one I really wanted though. What I really wanted was an SVS sub. This (http://www.svsound.com/products-sub-box-pb13-ultra_rosenut.cfm) one in particular. Only thing; it would have set me back $1600 though.

That's strange. I found the first one as well as the complete trilogy here (http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v5_search_item.asp?userid=99366660999373&string=resident+evil&site_media_id=&site_id=69&pp=&used=0&search_refined=0).

so maybe im the only one here that would really like the resident evil movies to be more like the games instead of having that girl alice. the games are great, the first resident evil movie was good. the rest eh, i would have rather them not come out. however that cgi resident evil movie was kinda cool!

I liked them all. Milla Jovavich is smokin' hot.
Oh yeah, here is about 2/3rd of my DVD's. I keep them in the work room as there is nowhere else that will accommodate a rack of that size. I was all the way pressed against the opposite wall and I still couldn't get the very top of that rack.

Can you imagine. Those dvd's are replacements for the old vhs movies. Now that I have almost completed the collection they came out with Blu-ray. Now I have to start all over again until they come out with a new format again. LOL

Don't think anything will suppress Blu-Ray at the moment. The best thing about it is they can make a new Blu-Ray disc with bigger storage and it will work in any Blu-Ray as long as it has had a Firmware Update.

I'm a Network Analyst. It provides me with a decent amount of income. Although my job takes a lot of my time, I'm not able to game as much as I really want to.

LMAO... Thank you for the compliment. It actually took some time to build what I have. The speakers are of course what cost the most. I was pressed for money after I bought those. Now mind you, I would rather have bought an SVS Ultra powered sub but it's like $1600. I've felt the bass of my friends dual SVS Ultra's. He has a concrete foundation and you can feel the floor vibrate from those monster subs. You thought mine was nice. He has a home theater that imitates an actual theater with theater seating, lighting, acoustics and everything else. That set him back $500K. Blew my mind. He would be pissed if he knew I was posting about his money, so I had better shut up about it. But yeah, thanks for the appreciation. As far as how much I make annually... Well, let's just say it's enough to buy the little extras in life that I could only dream of as a kid. A little secret. Plan the next forty years shellin' out for everything you want because that's how long it'll take to get it. And, no. I don't have everything I want yet. LOL
Cheers...

YES, YES, YES... WOW! I am one happy camper today. hehe... Sad too that I just shelled out 4k and won't be buying anything new for a while. This morning I went SHOPPING! LOL My Denon 1909 Receiver just wasn't doin' it for me anymore. So, I went out and bought a new Pre-Amp. The Onkyo PR-SC5507P (ouch $). I had to also get amplifiers for it. The Emotiva xpa-5 & xpa-2. I kind of did a little unboxing pictures for you all here so you can see what it's like. There is also some shots of the onscreen menu. The interconnects from none other; you guessed it, Monoprice. I do almost all my cable shopping at Monoprice. Cheap and great quality is what you get. I guess you could say by posting my setup here, I took a closer look at what I had and was like, DAMN. My stuff is like seriously outdated. Now I have DTS-HD Master Audio capabilities. YES! I guess the SVS Ultra sub will have to wait as I'm low on funds now. Well here are the shots...

The best way to connect would be Console/PC > MixAmp Opt In > MixAmp Opt Out > A/V Receiver. I believe that's what you're asking.

What I described is exactly that. You would connect your console to the Opt In on the TX unit, then go from the Opt Out on the TX unit to an Opt In on your A/V receiver.
The MixAmp features optical passthrough which is why that setup works.

What if you do the other way around and keep the setup from my console to me mix amp and just let my mix amp output connect to my A/V receiver input

That's what I've described twice.
Console -> MixAmp -> A/V receiver

ok thanks dude just making sure. i was just making sure because in the manual it says you connect your xbox to your A/V home theatre receiver, then your receiver connects directly to your mix amp. Most home theatre are only 5.1 dolby digital and I wanted the whole 7.1 Surround sound.

Thanks. :) It's most likely fallen to the bottom of the forum but here is my game room / office. It's not much but it's good for what I need it for. With all the electronics in this room it is 10° hotter in here than the rest of the house. LOL Oh, and cable management is next to impossible with all the electronics too.

I had the same issue with cable management too. So many wires it was nuts. But after cruising the net looking for solutions to it, I came across THIS (http://www.bluelounge.com/products/cablebox/). The price is a little steep for it being what it is, but it's freaking awesome. They even let people post before and after pics. I love mine, can't really live without it now lol, as stupid as that sounds.

That's neat. :) Unfortunately MINE (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009WDLPK) won't fit. It's a line conditioner/surge protector and it's as long as my leg. :)

sorry acid what is a line conditioner?
AcIdC0R3
07-09-2011, 06:20 PM
Power lines can have a lot of unwanted EMI/RFI. This thing cleans the power just a little bit more than normal surge protectors. Dedicated line conditioners can be very expensive. It unfortunate that I don't have one as they can be very beneficial to a entertainment system. You can read more about it HERE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_conditioner).
